Penn & Teller... Pro-Gun?????
Penn & Teller Bulls*#@! ^ | Penn & Teller

Posted on 01/07/2006 1:42:45 AM PST by Bender2

Up late I was surfing the channels and came upon Penn & Teller's Showtime program "Bulls*#@!" as they say...

I have never been a big fan of Penn nor Teller, but they had the Second Amendment and were discussing it.

Well, you could have slapped me to 4th Street!

Penn & Teller were for the Second Amendment! And they did one of the best jobs I've ever seen of pulling the teeth from that famous liberal chant: "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state" means only the state has the right to bear arms in a militia!

It isn't that he's short....

It's just that Penn is something like 6'8" or something like that...

Penn Gillette is one of the most active Libertarians in the country. He and his showbiz partner Teller actually very intelligent, and Bulls#!t is an excellent show.

Isn't Penn (at least) living an "alternative lifestyle" as they say?

He was active in the bondage scene until he had a kid a while back. He's pretty well settled down now.

It was probably dihydrogen monoxide they were trying to ban. It is a very dangerous substance. I wish more environmentalists would devote more time to dealing with this substance.

If you look at the credits for Larry the Cable Guy's live show, he gives thanks to God, John Wayne, and Ronald Reagan. I don't think he's as much a hick as he pretends, but he is fairly conservative.

This show was one of the best explanations as to why their should be no gun control. It did something that this debate rarely does, which really goes into the history as to why the Founding Fathers thought it was every citizen's right. And it clearly spells it out. And it was done with humor (and alot of vulgar language), which is why it should be required watching in classrooms everywhere.

"BTW Jackie Mason was on and had the best line: "Anyone for Gun Control is a freaking moron!" As they say on Battlestar Galactica, that is..."

About a year ago a cable network was running ancient episodes of Dave Letterman's original NBC "Late Night..." show. There was an early 80s interview with Mason where he gave a stunning endorsement/defense of Reagan and his policies as he was taking office - it was fantastic.
