MILWAUKEE -- It's the latest in a series of mob beatings in Milwaukee.
This time, according to police, at least 15 young people dragged a man out of his car and kicked and punched him -- after the man honked at them to get them to move out of a street.
The beating left the 50-year-old man with severe head trauma. He's hospitalized in critical condition and police said it's not clear if he'll survive.
No arrests have been made.
Three years ago, more than a dozen people chased a man through the streets of Milwaukee and beat him to death with shovel handles, rakes and tree limbs. Most of the attackers were young boys.
And last year, a man with schizophrenia died after being beaten and robbed by a group of assailants. Six teens were charged and one has been convicted.
Try Central Expressway in Dallas on a Saturday night. Guns going off all the time.
Seems to me that if they were white, the article would have mentioned it...
Oh, yeah.....I remember when the worst problem was the drag racing on Forest Lane...
I just NEVER, EVER do anything that would make me "stand out" when driving through a neighborhood I am not used to..and even around my house..
I was taught to ride on the shoulder facing oncoming traffic. If a situation occurred I would be able to see it coming and take evasive action. A drunk driver can sneak up behind you and you'll never know what hit you. Happened to a relative of mine.
Which brings to mind laws that say cars should stop for pedestrians. If someone doesn't obey that law, it's the pedestrian who loses. I'm not willing to take that chance. I pretend to be walking until I see a chance to cross.
My safety is up to me. I can't leave it up to the other guy.
This is why God invented the hood ornament flame thrower.
First round should be a slug.
My buddy has one and he loads a slug every other one. I just like the buckshot.
Er, uh, what about white yuppie joggers? Bicyclists? Power walkers? It isn't just "african-american youth". I'm NOT trying to be PC, either. Just stating my experiences.
Masculine talk like that will have all the ladies after you.
Back in the sixties my husband's mother was harassed by a group of blacks that had been blocking one of the main streets in town.
The next night he drove very slowly down the same street with one hand out the window. He fired two rounds from his service .45 and they scattered.
Problem solved.

If Wisconsin has shall issue CCW and he was packing, this wouldn't have happened. Indeed, there's a very good chance it wouldn't have happened even if he wasn't packing since the subumans who did it would have been afraid he might have been packing and been deterred by that fear.
The next person stuck in this situation had better hit the accelerator and blast through the crowd if he has to.
Better to be tried by twelve than carried to the grave by six.
Yeppers...I know what you mean..
"I was taught to ride on the shoulder facing oncoming traffic."
If you're not actually on the road, that is perfectly legal. What I'm talking about, however, is actually on the road, at which point bicyclists are bound by the same laws as all other vehicular traffic. Riding against traffic, on the roadway, is insane.

These days the entire group of them would just fire back.
Get in my way and you get honked at.
That is what the horn is for, to make a statement.
The Glock, if need be is the punctuation.
Man, I wish our local constables would clue in the cyclists out here (we're in great riding country). Aside from the expected running of stop signs and lights, most of them seem to disdain the dedicated bicycle lane and are quite content to impede traffic by chugging in the vehicle lanes.
