LONG LIVE RED CHINA (Would you like your troll mein with soft or crispy noodles?)

China will never go down, and don't think you can banish communism. Because the people won't let it. They know they are the last standing, they are the only ones left. America is in a decline while China's climaxing, America will go down. We are just done with our prime, if anything, we were going into a depression since 1992 (and don't say you don't know that year). Communism is the American's medias' worst nightmare, because of censorship. I hope we all have to read one newspaper and wipe my butt with one brand of tiolet paper. I hope we all die for our next generations to wear the red armband. We deserved 9/11, and they enjoyed it. You probably hate me now, I know, you just still think like its 1945, well too bad its 2005. We only stand to fall.

It would seem that "trading" was much more "global" than most people thought, even in the 20th Century.

Have you heard Lou Rawls died today?

I heard earlier today. Very few men can pull off wearing a baby blue tuxedo--but Lou did.

Egypt was heavy on food supplies and light on things like metal and wood. The rest of the world had metal and wood but a couple of bad harvests and they were in a pickle.

Control the food and you control everything.

Yeah in the tenth century but also long before that. Cornish tin was shipped all over during the Bronze Age and it was only a skip from Cornwall to Ireland.

They weren't trading captured Viking helmets, were they?

Yes, the only real difference between Western Civilization and previous civilizations, is we do things on a bigger scale.

Well the Vikings traded with Egypt so could be!

Although the horned helmet is not authentic.

I heard it during my break. My eyes were kinda red by the time I went back to class... I had to tell my students, I had a bad cold.

"Global" was much smaller 2,000 years ago than it is now. The Greeks ran a widespread olive/olive oil trade. To the east, of course, spices and tea--but that was much later down the road.

I have always liked that song...Nat King Cole sang it, too.

I like Lou Rawls for a lot of other stuff he did. I've followed his career for years.
