OK, new thread for the next week.
First, a big shout out to the SETI members who have added CPUs to the effort. Remember, its Team 36120, NOT Team 0.
Next, congrats to all for bumping our team up to 65 processors. ArgentCent is the latest to have joined our happy band of folders and jumps in at # 36 with his first completed WU. We now have 51 members in the team, and about 45 active participants.
Malsua, uriah and Ken in Texas are solidly in the top 10. One of these will probably be the new Numero Uno in a couple of weeks, barring newcomers borging dozens of unsuspecting systems (not that there's anything wrong with that!)
On the global front, Free Republic Folders is now listed at # 1448. We are poised to overtake (today) Kami Sacred Folding Team, buzzez, Naptune, PCSilencieux and Team Razorsh*g.
The only competition coming up on us is still QHT HPC. They are out producing us by about 1,000 points per day. As we gain members from the 100,000 FReepers that visit JimRob's place I expect that we will prevail and keep our lead.
No such luck, it appears that one of them just finished a 600 point WU. Seems fishy...
Well, even if no one else checks in within the next 8 hours(quite unlikely), I have 642 points that will land from my home 2 machines within the next 8 hours or so. My 8 others may chime in within that time frame, and some other freepers will probably blast that outta the water :). No worries :).
Four processors to the cause; possibly a few more in the not so distant future. Conducting science, public relations, and chomping through the competition. I like that combo.
Now that I have the right team number, I'm starting to show up on the list (Jinx). Added a second machine this morning - my Linux box. It will be interesting to see how it performs against my Mac G5 dual.
Go UT!
Go Penn State!
Not necessarily; some of these suckers take a while to run. I've got 3 machines runnng at the house now; the 3GHz Pentium has been cranking on one WU for almost 4 days. All 3 should complete today, then I'll see what the next WUs are like.
Not that it really matters; they're gone for good now.
Fantastic! Every processor counts. It'll take a day or so to get on the board, but everybody makes a difference.
Team FR is #185 of all teams based on last 7 days points:

Thanks for the help... I've only been on board a couple weeks myself but it's great to see the progress the FR team is making.
I just jumped in with 2 2gig duals, and will be able to add more later.
That ought to help a bit.
Everything helps... it's a great team and a good cause!!

I installed the software about 2 weeks ago. It seems to be running fine, except when the screensaver kicks in, it only shows the molecule being folded. It doesn't show any of the other info, like the stats to the left and the title above. (unless I close out Internet Explorer, and then open up the F@H program using the "display" option. If I do that, then the screensaver shows everything) Does anyone know if this is normal for the program?
I've updated my video driver to the latest one, but maybe that wasn't the problem after all.
Thanks! It's great to be a part of this at any rate!
disable all screensavers
If I don't disable the screensaver, will the data become corrupted?
