Ann Coulter just finished her speech at UConn, and she was Great! Completely shutout Uconn's liberals.
The lefties showed up in significant numbers but the majority of the crowd was definitely for Ann. Of course the liberals went absolutely nuts during the speech but Ann Coulter just em down, every SINGLE time! And the majority of the conservatives would stand up and cheer everytime they started trying to act up.
At midpoint through her speech some liberals got a hold of the PA system and played a song through the speakers, I couldn't tell what it was. It effectively shut out Ann's speech. I figure some students must have had help from UConn faculty to oranize that. If anyone remembers, during this point the liberals started chanting "you suck", I was the guy in the front that stood up and yelled "No, You Suck!" and put and my arms out in the air and kept saying "what!". They stopped chanting and nobody said anything so i turned around and started clapping and then sat down.
After this charade, they finally got the music off the PA and Ann Coulter was just like "Allright, you want play games, lets see what you got?" and invited everyone up for questions.
Just about every liberal who went up got completely shut down by Ann Coulter. It was hilarious! Every liberal would stand in line all proud like they were gonna show Coulter, but after their question Coulter just shut em down with her answer they ended up walking back all shouting and swearing under their breath. Everytime they got shutout the crowd would started cheering for Ann Coulter's response. The liberals could never give up and keep shouting into the microphone so they would pull the mic out from them. They would always just sit their yelling and finally storming back all swearing and muttering under their breath. I was sitting right up by the line so it was amusing to see how frustrated they got.
A couple liberals in my section would get up screaming some nonsense, and i yelled out "Show some respect", twice they took a look at me and kept their mouth shut. But the third time a girl got up and yelled "$16,000 down the drain!!", so i turned around and was like "show some respect!", the girl looked at me like she was possessed by the devil, she kept screaming "Show some respect!! show some respect!! I'll show respect!! I'll show you" her friends had to grab and make her sit down, i was gonna say something else but i couldn't help laughing and just turn around. Pure example of a foaming-at-the-mouth liberal.
Since the speech was cut short and they went straight to the Q and A, Ann Coulter was only up for a little over an hour. Kind of dissapointing the liberals disrupted it but atleast Ann Coulter made each and everyone of them looking barking fools! Priceless.
[...she was on a delay...]
Come on. Humor me just a little. Don't you think it's the least bit suspicious?
I actually thought that one was hilarious and if they're too stupid to enjoy that bit of humor, they should just pack it up. Those "moderates" wouldn't make very good conservatives anyway.
and how about the line.... Precious!!
[...I went to hear a speech by one of my favorite best-selling authors...]
Don't be so defensive. I wish I could've been there with
you to cheer her on. Being an adult, I'm not sure I would
have kept my dignity in such a raucous environment either.
I think humor is a great level setter. Both Limbaugh and
Coulter use humor to disarm. The problem is... you must
listen in order to hear the punch line.
dang, I got a tag wrong and wiped out the quote I tried to insert... let's try this again...
and how about the line "...besides, I don't think I do that much gay bashing, except of course ribbing your little liberal boys here(pointing up into the balcony where the real troublemakers were)"
Now that one was great!!
P.S. Thank you for your service to our country.
Whether you've seen action in the guard or not...
Your willingness is appreciated. God bless you.
The liberals can't handle being slapped around by a conservative woman like Ann.They act out in frustration when they realize how ignorant their beliefs are.
If you're trying filling a 2,000 seat theatre at the University of CONNECTICUT, how could there not have been a lot of liberals there?
I wasn't there and don't know what actually happened, but really, she should have seen it coming.
Thanks for the recap!
He can't help it - he really is a schmuck!
Either that or he is a very, very good actor.
[...We needed Ann in the '60s and early 70s...]
There were plenty of people like her then, but
no conservative media. John Birch, Maureen
Reagan, Julie Nixon, Andy Rooney, R. Buckmister
Fuller, William F. Buckley to name a few.
Ann would have been missed and dissed back then.
She is here, now, for such a time as this.
Ann gave Colmes a huge compliment when she said He,
Lieberman and Zimmerman should start their own party...
meaning they really do not identify with classic democrats.
Sounds like Ann was on her game!
Maybe Ann's patience is running out with these yellow dogs, as it is with many of us. When they are impervious to logical argument, and their only method of debate is to shout you down and shut you up, what can one do?
"... Julie Nixon, Andy Rooney, R. Buckmister Fuller, William F. Buckley to name a few..."
The above folks appeared as squares and conservatives. Ann appears more hip than the Left and that is what infuriates them. Buckley was billed as "young" in the late 50s and early 60s but by the later 60s was decidedly not young.
As for John Birch, he was killed long before the 50s.
Andy Rooney was not a conservative.
That's LOL funny and I think she was trying to illuminate the libs lack of a sense of humor.
Of course. I only know some of the background here but.... I believe Cindy Sheehan will be speaking at UConn sometime in the near future. The College Republicans or somesuch group then wanted to bring in AC but did not get the funding that was allocated for idiot Sheehan. Ann appeared for much less than her usual fee as a favor and was fully expecting this kind of response.
