No further info available yet.
Well, that's good news. I hope they get Earle disbarred and worse.
I shamelessly stole your idea without prior permission. I ain't wrong, I ain't sorry and it's probably going to happen again!
Yeah, I wouldn't get to happy over all this yet.
The judge left in the charge that was obtained by misconduct. Very interesting...
On the other hand, I can't believe he would uphold that count unless he knew that he was going to whitewash the prosecutor's actions.
Thanks
Thanks for the info. I knew there was no way a democrat in Austin would throw the whole thing out. At least not until Delay is dragged through the mud. These people make me sick! The Rhinos in the house salivating over Delay's job are equally nauseating. (rolling eyes)
Money laundering charges were not thrown out. This isn't over yet.
However, if Delay gets convicted on this I would think that there will be a lot of other politicians facing the same charges.
Thanks. I''ll buy that.
The idea here appears to have been to drag this out as long as possible, no matter how baseless the charges.
Just one more RUN DNC black op.. melting be4 the MSM lenses ;-)
nah one step then the other
Not quite; sadly.
Why? Delay has been as ineffective as Trott was in the Senate, except at giving away our hard earned money to fund pork barrel programs... I mean member initiatives... mostly in his home district. In the few weeks that Hastert has been the SOTH, he has done more to mess with the Dems then Delay has ever done during his tenure. I say keep Hastert.
Maybe, maybe not. DeGuerin will argue on Delays behalf that the money laundering charge is the fruit of unlawful prosecutorial zeal since dingdong went through three grand juries before he got a bill. And the quote from the foreman of that final grand jury will be especially interesting to hear in a courtroom with a rational judge on the bench.
I would, at the same time, demand that DeLay have a speedy trial, forcing Earle to play his cards as soon as possible.
The money laundering charges are more heavy.
He was being sarcastic and too many FReepers are too dense to figure that out.
How can you launder money earned legally?
DeLay is still in congress. Just not in the leadership.
That just deals with the indictments. The judge could still dismiss the remaining charges against Tom.

I'll drink to that.
I was hoping all the charges would be dismissed. I was also under the impression that DeLay asked for a change of venue and a speedy trial. If the Money Laundering charge is left intact, but venue is changed and the trial date set for early January, this would still be a victory for DeLay.
