If I was his attorney, I would request a hearing on their motion to dismiss the money laundering charge as soon as possible, claiming that the charges themselves were politically motivated and calculated to damage his political position.
I would, at the same time, demand that DeLay have a speedy trial, forcing Earle to play his cards as soon as possible.
