Why? Delay has been as ineffective as Trott was in the Senate, except at giving away our hard earned money to fund pork barrel programs... I mean member initiatives... mostly in his home district. In the few weeks that Hastert has been the SOTH, he has done more to mess with the Dems then Delay has ever done during his tenure. I say keep Hastert.

Hastert has been Speaker since 1999. DeLay was Majority Leader. Two different positions.
The guy who (temporarily) took DeLay's place as interim Majority Leader is Rep. Roy Blunt from Missouri. Blunt, the former Majority Whip (which was DeLay's position for years) is okay, but DeLay is still doing much of the Majority Leader work.
