p>The Talk Shows
Sunday, December 4th, 2005
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Stephen Hadley, President Bush's national security adviser; Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif.; Douglas Owsley, division head for physical anthropology at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.; Thomas Kean, chairman, and Lee Hamilton, vice chairman, of the Sept. 11 investigative commission.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa.; Hadley; New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Hadley; Sens. Joseph Biden, D-Del., and Richard Lugar, R-Ind.; Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari.
Agree. I'd rather have a Lieberman democrat than a Snowe or Hagel RINO any day.
What did the Stephy panel say today?
Was ole Sam Donaldson on complaining that Pres. Bush didn't answer his rude question last week?
I am sure that the POW/MIA families saw how effective the Swifties were last year...and so they probably will get more demonstrably against McCain if he runs again...
I am sure FR...will give them the support they need, don't you??
I haven't been able to see any of the shows...
Did McCain jump all over that "paid propaganda" story, like he did the "torture" stories???
Is he going to join his Gang of Dwarfs mate, Warner in calling for an investigation of that also???
Thanks. I don't feel like wrestling my wife for the remote to see what's happening.
Oh goody! IIRC McPain was a "reverse" fighter ace inasmuch as he was directly or indirectly complicit with the destruction of 5 jets. Also, one of the Keating Five and corrupt. One of the reasons for McCain-Feingold. Or, "stop me before I take illegal money again!" Obviously a cry for help. /src
I used to kind of like Dennis Ross..for his knowledge of the ME...
but, I have noticed that he and Mark Ginsberg just cannot hide their lefty side anymore...and I mute both of them now.
They started off with the good economic numbers. Steffie asked Robert Reich, who was on the panel today, doesn't that look like a good economy? Reich said no it wasn't and the rest of the panel just laughed at him. Then someone said something that activated my gag reflex big time and I switched to Fox to watch the end of a car chase. I don't know, Tx, I am getting less and less able to take unmitigated, unchallenged bs.
"What did the Stephy panel say today?"
Listen carefully cause your question is soooooo loaded:
Cokie "GWB has to talk about the good economy......because the war has gone south and when people try to use their prescription drug benefit they will find it isn't there"
Do you get her point? If you do, please explain it to me :)
Me too...but, sometimes I still make the mistake of wandering over to Chrissy Matthews at night...especially since he is opposite Shep Smith...
I have usually seen the "news" by then...and I get curious about how Chrissy is going to "get Bush" that night.
Like you, though, my BS meter can only take so much...until I have to back off for a while.
That comment made about as much sense as a John Kerry speech..
I don't know how many non-sequiters used in an interview is in the Guinness Book of World Records...but, I am still betting on Kerry..
Cokie though did pretty good.
Tx, you know we appreciate your reconnoitering of the Chrissy show and admire you immensely for reporting back to us. That was my plan for the Steffie panel, but I just couldn't do it. I'm such a wimp. I'm wathching Brian Wilson as I prepare the batter for my next batch of Christmas cookes. I have a secret crush on him (not so secret any longer, I guess).
cookes=cookies. Sheesh, my proofreading has been really subpar lately.
Just curious, how many batches of Christmas cookies have you made??? LOL
Do you make them for gifts, or make them and freeze them for Christmas, or what???
I used to bake a lot..and loved it...until I worked in a bakery, and then was a restaurant manager...not so much, anymore...LOL
What cookies do you do for Christmas?
