VIDEO: DEATH TO PEACE ACTIVISTS IF DEMANDS NOT MET

Kidnappers Threaten to Kill Iraq Activists

Dec 02 3:52 PM US/Eastern

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Al-Jazeera television broadcast a videotape Friday in which kidnappers of four Christian peace activists threatened to kill their hostages unless all prisoners in U.S. and Iraqi detention centers are released. The kidnappers gave the two governments until Dec. 8 to meet their demands, Al-Jazeera quoted a statement delivered with the tape as saying.

The tape showed what the broadcaster said were two Canadian hostages. An American and a Briton are also being held. All four appeared frightened.

The Canadians were shown eating from plates of what appeared to be Arabic sweets. In a second clip, the British and American hostages were shown to talking to the camera but no audio was transmitted.

The two were calling on the U.S. and British governments to withdraw from Iraq, Al-Jazeera reported, quoting a statement from the kidnappers, who earlier identified themselves as the Swords of Righteousness Brigade

I imagine that for about 30 seconds, they will all become hawks on the issue of combating terrorism. Unfortunately, it will be the last 30 seconds they spend on this earth.

Yeah, the Liberals always seem to ignore that side of Christ.

As well, they ignore the God of the O.T. and the God of the N.T. are One in the Same. They ignore the mention of prophecy in the Last Days. They ignore the intention of both Heaven and Hell. They ignore anything that points against the idea Christ was an early day free lovin' permissive hippie.

I can't take credit for the line. Another poster used it in one of their posts and I asked if I could borrow it for my tagline. The poster kindly agreed. I liked it much for the reason you did. Related to current events, also, I was tired of failure to take these people on and it was encouragement for him to do so. Not too long afterwards he did. :-)

So, I guess you would not be joyful at the death of Hitler, Pol Pot, Stalin, Bin Ladin?

I'd be joyful if Bin Ladin was captured or killed because it would make the world safer. Not because I find any joy in death, not even his. If I prayed about him at all, it would be that he found God and repented of his sins before he dies.

Interesting that ALL human life is equal to you.

I'm sure that it's a fascinating concept, but saddened that it's an unfamiliar one.

Are you praying every night that al-Zarqawi is "arrested" rather than blown to pieces so that he can live a long life?

I haven't prayed about him at all, but I if were to pray for him, see Bin Laden above.

Violence is an ugly thing, even when it's necessary. If you break into my house, I'll kill you. I won't try to run, I won't play nice, I won't offer you the silverware and I won't hesitate. I'll kill you on the spot because it's what I have to do to ensure my family's safety. It's the reason I have guns readily available at both my desk, and my bedside where I spend most of my time.

However, it would be a somber thing, a sad thing, a tragic thing. You wouldn't be the better for being dead, and I wouldn't be the better for taking your life, no matter how justified the shooting. Sometimes it falls upon a man to take life-altering actions like killing, but only a sick personality would wish it on either pary.

I have the greatest admiration for our young men and women in Iraq, and I wish they didn't have to be there. It saddens me greatly that some have to die, and to a lesser degree that some have to kill. Just because these things are unavoidable, doesn't mean they're preferable.

If in doubt, ask any Japanese person who was influenced by Hiroshima or Nagasaki. Nobody ever got their a$$ kicked for being too strong.

Oh wait...If we save them, they'll be camped out in Crawford to tell the president what a horrific job he'sdoing on the war on terror. Throw them under the bus, they are not worth getting real patriots killed for.

You make some very legitimate points. I still don't agree with you about all human life but I will agree to disagree when it comes to Americans who go to Iraq and work against the goals of our country. I shed no tears

I can't believe these activists would say annything like that unless they were coerced in some way.

I don't relish anyone being placed in the situation these peace activists have, but who placed them there?

The United States did not take going after Hussein lightly. Entering war is not an easy thing to do. As Commander in Chief you realize such a decison will cost young virile men, and young capable women their lives. Then there's the relentless heartache for their family and friends.

I respect President Bush for his decision to enter Iraq. He obtained the backing of our nation's political leaders, and in our troops went.

Since we took down the Iraqi regime, we have lost a lot of good men and women. Not one of them was a loss that was not regreted, or a loss that was not worthy of what could and would be achieved in Iraq.

As free people emerge in Iraq and the U.S. troop levels decline there, the wisdom of the President will be self-evident to all but those led astry by propagandist liars.

People have been led to think that President Bush is something he is not. These peace activists in Iraq were convinced that the U.S. was evil and the general Iraqi citizens were being killed by our troops. How sad is that, so untrue a charge, yet accepted as gospel by people who should know better.

The peace activists felt compelled to rescue the general Iraqi people. They bought the left's subtrifuge and now they may pay with their lives.

In the midst of this situation, I cannot help but think how fitting it would be if those who lied to these peace activists would suffer the fate these unfortunate people may. But then that's how it always works in the marxist circles.

You bitch until the troops are withdrawn from Vietnam and watch as one million people die there and another two million die in Cambodia.

You bitch until Israel lets down it's defenses a little, and then it's citizens pay the ultimate cost.

Some will say that Bush should capitulate to terrorist demands to save the peace activists, though not many. They will be the same propagandists that led these peace activist to go into Iraq in the first place. No, Bush should not cave. Instead wouldn't it be refreshing to watch peace activist propagandists step up to the place and offer themselves in exchange for the people they convinced to go into Iraq?

Yes, that would be refreshing, but these cretans never stick their necks out. They only try to discount the price our valient men and women in the service have paid. They also cause the adled peace activist to waste their efforts to the detrimen of our nation, and in some instances the cost of their lives for a lie.

Terrorists deserve to die, and they are the only people being targeted by U.S. troops. Peacenicks beware, you're being fed a great big lie, and it may cost you your life. It will not cost those who led you astray their lives.

You may not be able to count on the U.S. due to your deminished state. You may may be inclined to, but not be able to fully trust the terrorists, I would hope. You can definately trust those who led you astray to protect their asses in deference to yours.

And that's the way it is...

..and has always been.
