a curio case is a cabinet where you show off your Hummels, Lladros, doll collections, Fenton glassware etc. It's the girl version of your fishing pole rack or gun cabinet.

:)

A place to showcase your curio's... you know... like that Graceland, commemorative serving-platter your wife bought.

Well, as others stated, it's shocking to turn on the television and see such a leftist propaganda hit piece presented as a reasoned round table discussion. Every once in a while, you have to listen in.

Ruh roh, Fiengold wants to provide government healthcare for all Americans. Guess I won't be voting for him. That will come as a big surprise, I know :)

The guy that made that 09/11 comment continued by stating that the only reason it became prominant, was because the administration hyped it.

The guy actually said this with a straight face.

And people wonder why Bush's pole numbers are so low. This was a despicable presentation.

Curio case is short for curiosity case. Republican senatorial nuts would certainly be right at home in one, IMHO. :-)

Vietnam did not start with the NVA killing 3000 American Civilians.

Funny you should mention this. Because as I outlined in my post about my daughter and her lame attempt to describe the differences between Vietnam and Iraq, she mentioned the attack on America on 9-11.

I immediately responded that Iraq didn't attack us on 9-11.

Just as soon as I said this, all the words I'd read about Iraq, Saddam, his association with terrorists, Salmon Pak, the 1998 Clinton indictment of Osama in part for his association with Iraq-it all came to my mind. There was too little time to explain it all.

I didn't want those children going all about and saying that Iraq attacked America on 9-11. Some liberal or another, perhaps their teachers, would likely smack them silly. Because the liberal moonbats stand on only the simplest of facts. It wasn't Iraqi citizens that attacked America. We all know that it was Iraqi money and Saddam encouragement that was likely part and parcel of it all.

At least those of us with some IQ above room temperature have figured it out.

The point of it all is that the Dems are going to start hitting hard at the Vietnam comparison. And unless those that care about such things get up to snuff on it all, they just might win.

I agree. This show was so bad, that it would be a good exercise to disect every sentence and critique them for what they were.

Exactly, I have complained that the media totally misrepresented both trips.

I want the RNC to run ads, touting the accomplishments. Go over the head of the leftists right to the people.

Unfortunately you are IMHO correct.

As much as I hated what the Soviet Union stood for at least in a way you knew where you were with them. In a way 9th November 1989 was a great day for democracy but also heralded a new uncertain world.

Again all the British TV media covered this including the BBC

Saw that too. I am impressed that though they are not in tune with Bush's policies, BBC shows some respect for the Presidency & Bush in particular, unlike US media.

I even saw Iraqi children training for future olympics on BBC, which I have yet to see here.

"I'm tired of the democrats going full-throttle against President Bush, and milque-toast republicans unable to defend him at least. During the Clinton admin, there was no shortage of democrats willing to fall on swords for him. I'm really getting tired of this!"

Totally agree. The DNC sends out their talking points and the Dim Congresscritters and pundits unite behind those and spew them every chance they get. Pubbies need to get their act together. I think besides not having a united voice for the Admin (probably due in part to the 'maverick' RINOS and many Senators thinking about running for Pres in '08) many of the Pubbies still think Congress is a 'gentlemen's' club' and they are supposed to behave a such. They can still behave civilly and blast the Dims (in a nice way, of course LOL) while getting the facts out and countering and pointing out the Dims lies. As it's been pointed out on FR's, most of us could counter the Dims lies better than many of the Congresscritters.

In addition, they appear to be more united in their votes. Pelosi has made all the Dims in the House take a loyalty oath to support whatever position she has (e.g., whatever is against the Pubbies). Some of the Dims used to vote w the Pubs, but, I read that has been changing.
