Why? Why? Why?

are we watching? (I'm not)

are we posting?
(there's not an original thought or a step outside the liberal mindset to be found in these lineups--unless I missed something.)

The 92-page estimate was provided by the CIA to members of Congress before they had to vote Oct. 11, 2002, on whether to authorize the use of force in Iraq.

Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-W. Va.), vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, earlier this month repeated that only six senators had read the document, saying he was one and the committee chairman, Sen. Pat Roberts (R-Kan.), was another. Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), who prodded President Bush to make sure the estimate was finished in time, said she was another. Sen. Joseph Lieberman (D-Conn.) couldn’t remember. Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) declined to say.

Kerry admits that he did not read the whole document. “I got a personal briefing at the Pentagon,” he said - which is not the equivalent. Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), one of the loudest “We wuz misled!” whiners, admits that he didn’t read the whole thing either.

So this Vietnam issue and comparisons, it might work.

Because too many people just didn't understand Vietnam.

Does anybody doubt that had there been an information atmosphere like there is today that Vietnam would have ended quite differently? So how to explain it to our children?

This is one of my favorite topics and something that I most often have to argue with folks normally on "my side" of the political aisle.

Iraq and Vietnam are, fundamentally, identical.

Both conflicts were/are small pieces in a larger war against a hateful ideology that exploits the worst in human nature and uses the most vile techniques to subjegate the people, all in pursuit of world wide domination. Our country won the military conflict in both cases, but were hamstrung by squeamish politicians and media.

In both cases the MSM has provided an unrelenting stream of negative and dishonest propaganda intentionally architected to undermine public support for the conflict. And in both cases the traitor party (copyright Ann Coulter) has encouraged our enemies and provided them aid and comfort in pursuit of their own political agenda.

We need to crush the "Vietnam syndrome" in Iraq and win the peace, which we are well on our way to achieving. Then we have to revisit the history of Vietnam and tear apart the lies the were foisted on us. I'd love to have this happen before Uncle Walter and John "I'm a war hero" Kerry shuffle off of this mortal coil. They'd look great being frog marched into Leavenworth.

Attacks on McC's face is not acceptable. Just MO

You stated that it was because of his skin cancer. I do not think that is correct. If, in fact, we cannot make an occasional snide remark about someone's appearance, it's a good thing I didn't post what I was thinking about the success of Plugs hair transplant, which is not holding up well.

ACK! I just got here. I am going to have to go back and read what Lugar said (and I know it is going to raise my BP!)

I will read what he said and I will be calling him on Monday!

Whenever people talk about how we have a Republican majority, I like to remind them about senators like this, who like to prove they are "smarter" than the President. Lugar was a Rhodes scholar, you know. NOT a recommendation, in my opinion.

Absolutely to the point it would almost be funny if it was not so serious and crucial at this junction of the WOT.

Excellent!

I have actually grown weary of refuting the old ones (I still do though), but the new ones don't make a lot of sense unless you're a moonbat. 90% of the people here see them as what they are.

Still, a great quote. I hope you don't mind me using it!

Thanks for the link!

Now a few questions.....
Was the 92-page pre war intelligence report available to all senators & congressmen or just to the intelligence committees?

If it was available to all and only Rockefeller, Roberts & Feinstein .... plus three yet to be named senators....took time to read it, then we have 94 deadbeat senators!

Keep on ranting. We all do it and repetition helps us remember what's going on and informs people who are just now tuning in to what's going on.

Appears the "withdrawal" demand is but one thread of Campaign 2006 to reclaim the House of Representatives.
