I N D O C T R I N A T I O N !
Very True. The WH press core went with Bush to Summit of the Americas & APEC summit. Bush's trip went as intended, but media reported otherwise.29 Countries sided with US & 5 with Venezuela. In media's count 29 to 5 is a failure.
Same with APEC summit. These reporters, when they get to ask a couple of questions, instead of asking questions about the summit (which they don't have ANY knowledge) they asked about Murtha & Iraq and spun as that is the topic daunted Bush . Even BBC covered it well.
Did you hear CONSERVATIVE Angela Merkel became German Chancellor and she vowed to have good relations with Bush? Did you hear free market conservative won in Poland? Did you hear 99% chance that liberal Canadian government is going down tomorrow?
I don't mind you using "tell new lies.....
it's amazing how the libs intersperse the new lies with the old ones in hopes they can get a footing for the next election!
Thanks for the link! So, six read it but didn't read it according to Rockefeller? Lieberman can't remember, sounds about right. He probably doesn't remember running for VP. Of course, Kerry had a Personal Presentation to replace having to read some lame document. If the truth were known, few read it and fewer understood what they read. They waited for the DNC talking points and leaks in the NY Times.
Yes, thanks to FR.
Well I'm watching Face the Nation this morning, and Disgrace the Nation would be a much more fitting description.
Four historians are the guests, and each is doing his best to describe our nation in terms that make the President look terrible without using one sentence that charges him with a single tangible fact.
Second terms have nearly always turned out disasterous, implying that the Bush second term is a total disaster. One historian declared that race relations were in a shambles. The compartisons of Iraq to Vietnam were numerous, each presented in a terribly negative light.
Each contributing guest is making pronouncements as if from on high, and there have been no objections from any guest to the negative comments of another. It's a pile-on fest that is presented in a manner only an elitist press outlet could.
One jerk pronounced that 09/11 was an event that wouldn't rank in the first tier of attacks from his perspective, if compared to the Revolutionary War, the Civil War or World War II.
I can't imagine a much more disgraceful presentation, lopsided against not only the President, but our nation.
Hey Biden ..
Yes, we remember the "box" .. aka, the sanctions
DO YOU REMEMBER THE OIL FOR FOOD SCANDAL ????
This comment and a Freepmail I just received inspires me to investigate. Which I shall.
It'll be a terrific topic for my Blog and since I'm convinced the young American people don't understand it, time for me to start snooping, checking and getting at the truth. I'm good at it if I put my mind to it.
Also, I meant that bit about the Vietnam's effect on my personal life. My ex-husband was the child of two vehement liberals, one a psychologist, the other a lecherous engineer. the man put his hand up my skirt once and other females came forward with tales about him. Perfect family on the surface, waaaaay more nefarious beneath.
Anyway, they wanted to send Rick to Canada. Said they would pay for it. Rick's lottery number was number three. There was no hope. He was going to go. Our happy future was shattered.
I was a young woman, pretty, dewy-eyed, with dreams of a home, children, the whole bit. I could not leave my country and reside in Canada. It just wasn't going to happen. Not that I would have called myself especially patriotic but when the chips were down, noway. This lady's an American to the bone.
So Rick left me and I was heart-broken for a couple of years. Eventually I turned against the Vietnam war and don't forget there were no news alternatives. I became an activist of the highest order. Hated Reagan. Hated Nixon. The libs could tell me anything, I believed it.
Time for the Bloggers to get at the truth. On some level I know I was fooled. Now I want to find out the complete truth. I'm sure it's out there. Got me a beautiful little granddaughter and am determined she not be deceived.
I meant, from the MSM.
You have my admiration for having the stomach to sit and listen to revisionists write history that has not happened.
Now that is worth watching!
Alas Babylon! ....thanks for starting this thread every Sunday.
The intelligence to which Bush refers is contained in a top-secret document that was made available to all members of Congress in October 2002, days before the House and Senate voted to authorize Bush to use force in Iraq. This so-called National Intelligence Estimate was supposed to be the combined US intelligence community's "most authoritative written judgment concerning a specific national security issue," according to the Senate Intelligence Committee. The report was titled "Iraq's Continuing Programs for Weapons of Mass Destruction."

Remember the basis for this virulent hatred over Iraq. GWB and Rove with the help of the Republican congress boxed the Dems into voting for the war in Iraq, and the Dems will never forgive them.
Public support for the war was huge! The Dems had graciously provided the Repubs with all the rhetoric they needed to squash Saddam thanks to Bill Clinton's diversion from his impeachment mess. Ohhh, Saddam was such a baddie in 1998 and all the Democrats agreed.
The real reason the Democrats voted for the war in Iraq, was to keep from losing worse than they eventually did in 2002. That was the only reason for the majority of them.
To satisfy their base, now they have to come up with reasons to run away from their vote. Now they are in the position of claiming they were too dumb to read the intelligence correctly, so dim they let GWB lie us into war, or negligent in their duty by not vetting the intelligence correctly.
It has given them the terrible dilemma trying to trash our military without trashing our military! Or demean brave Iraqi democrats without trashing democracy itself.
If the Iraqis come through, and we follow an orderly troop withdrawal over the nect two years, it will make them look more foolish than the "guagmire" of three weeks to defeat Saddam. They have to defeat the war politically.
It is no wonder they hate this President!!
Thanks!
Wow! Very sobering post.
Thanks for sharing.
Again all the British TV media covered this including the BBC
I just heard Finegold say that a top military man in Iraq told him that nothing would take the wind out of the sails of the "insurgency" like a timetable for withdrawal. This is not presidential material, as if I didn't already know that. Good grief, he is all over the place on the issues. He is not smart enough for the presidency.
