JEDDAH, 22 November 2005 A woman demanded from a man who asked her hand in marriage to memorize the holy Quran as a condition of accepting to marry him, Al-Watan reported. The 21-year-old woman said that she is not interested in money as much as she is interested in a good religious husband. The woman said that she would hold a test in which she will ask them to recite the Quran without a mistake.

My guess is that she has experienced too many Arabic men and would rather remain single than live with a man who may one day cut off her head for "dishonoring" him.

Men with bossy wives often seem quite happy, once they have made the adjustment. Not me.... I left!

And exactly who would want to marry a person that demanded a series of tests that they would have to pass in order to have their love. He is probably to young to realize that this is just the first in many expectations he will no doubt live up to. She will most likely keep moving the goal posts over and over and never be content. Happens in all cultures very destructive to a persons identity.

This could make for an explosive wedding night!

If he memorizes and then recites a certain passage three times, he is home free.
The Prophet (Pig^&*T be upon him) said that passage is a third part, and to read or recite it three times is to say or read the entire Koran.

" . . . maybe she doesn't want to get married."
Maybe he should be relieved!
