CNN MARKS CHENEY: NETWORK FLASHES 'X' OVER VP'S FACE DURING LIVE SPEECH
**Exclusive**
At 11:04:45 AM ET Monday CNN was airing Vice President Dick Cheney's speech live from the American Enterprise Institute in Washington -- when a large black 'X' repeatedly flashed over the vice president's face!
The 'X' over Cheney's face appeared each time less than a second, creating an odd subliminal effect.
As this DRUDGE REPORT screen capture reveals, while one 'X' flashed over Cheney's face CNN ran a headline at the bottom of its screen: "CHENEY: I DO NOT BELIEVE IT IS WRONG TO CRITICIZE."
One top White House source expressed concern about what was aired over CNN.
"Is someone in Atlanta trying to tell us something?"
A CNN spokesman did not return repeated calls late Monday night.
Developing...
What would be the point of that? I wear my "Team Condi" hat to health food stores.
If you measure the positioning of the X you'll see that is it exactly centered. I don't think it was anything intentional. You'll also notice some text below it. I think it has something to do with control room video calibration.
I loved that they got caught at that one.
Actually, he's always been a POS. I used to listen to him in San Diego on a show called Left to Right. He sparred with Barry Farber (one of my favorites and responsible for my taking an interest in conservatism).
It was the height of the OJ trial, Allen would say something so void of reason and common sense and Barry would respond with this patented "Oh Allen" comment like a father talking to his misguided son. It was precious.
Of course then Barry would go on to crush him intellectually. You can still read Farber at Newsmax regardless of what you think about Newsmax.
A switcher is a device that allows the operator to select different video inputs, such as cameras and video tape and put them on the air. A video switcher can also mix video sources so you can have a video camera of the V.P. and superimpose A large black letter "X" over him from another video source.
It actually looks like someone tried to quickly black out the second part of the sentence.
Place a large "X" over Cheny face and quickly attempt to wipe out the second line and what do you get?
CHENEY: I DO NOT BELIEVE.
This was no mistake.
The liberal media knows that they end is near for them so they dont even try to hide their hatered for Bush and Cheny anymore.
I think that kind of bliss is usually called "insanity". Seems as if the entire lefty establishment is teetering on the edge...lets hope they go on over the edge. :-o

FLASHBACK, also note:
Two Democrats ask FCC to review controversial 'RATS' ad
Sept 13, 2000
Two Democratic senators have asked the Federal Communications Commission for an "immediate and impartial" review of the Republican National Committee's controversial "RATS" ad, according to sources in Vice President Al Gore's presidential campaign.
In a letter provided to CNN, Sens. John Breaux, D-Louisiana, and Ron Wyden, D-Oregon, wrote to FCC Chairman William Kennard that they were "deeply troubled" by the ad and believed that a review would be in "the best interests of both political parties, and all Americans."
A political stir erupted Tuesday when it was discovered that if the ad was slowed down, the word "RATS" appeared clearly while an announcer criticized Gore's prescription drug plan as one in which "Bureaucrats Decide."
Texas Gov. George W. Bush, the Republican presidential nominee, told reporters on Tuesday that he believed the appearance of "RATS" in the RNC ad was accidental.
. . .ahhh, that would be 'stupid'; as in stupid is as stupid does. . .
CHENEY: I DO NOT BELIEVE.
Bingo!
Interesting take on this...It makes me want to know what the words are even more!
pong
It looks an awful lot like an overlay that is partially obscuring the crawler. The letters and symbols are just a shade darker than the crawler's background colors, just enough to stand out, but not dark enough to be read effectively. There is quite an offset ( about 1/2 space) in the crawler text and the overlay text.
Next to the S&P crawler, the overlay text says "to black".
Below the right leg of the X over the VP's face is an image that looks similar to a human face. It can be seen on the negative, but not on the original.
Didn't Night Line put a Bullseye over President Bush's Picture back in 2001?
The cable version of Air America.
The CNN hack tried to black out the lower words so the super would just say:
Cheney: "I do not believe."
That was Nightline I believe
