Your post gave me chills because the same thing happened to me. He was on my mind that day too. I wasn't prepared however for this. I will miss him so much.

I had an episode of extreme pain Thursday out of the blue, and was given medication for it that knocked me out. Then yesterday I was a bit out of it most of the day, but had these strong feelings about TC and wondered what was up, with a kind of sadness that I couldn't explain.

In some way maybe it was his soul letting me know on his way that he really appreciated all the prayers. My sons and I had a special prayer we prayed for him every day. I wish "yes" had been the answer, but apparently G-d has better plans for him in Heaven.

What a wonderful man.

Thanks Howlin. Been gone for a few days... how sad. But maybe he's resting easier now. I was fortunate to know him.

Best to you, dear one.

That is QUITE a photo. Makes me cry.

Thank G-d for the internet, bringing wonderful people together in prayer, friendship, and kindness. He loved Logan like he was his own grandson.

OH NO!
I haven't been online in a couple of days...
I am just totally speechless.
My prayers and thoughts are with all of those whom TC touched so deeply.

Faith,
Your Daddy was one of my favorite people.
And I never even met him in person.
His dreams and plans were so big...

What an amazing man.
We loved him so much here.
Words can't even describe it.
Watching one big tough Marine Cowboy fall in love with a tiny little baby is something that has touched my soul forever.
There is a piece of all of us missing today.

I just wanted you to know that even while your dad was fighting radiation burns and in so much pain...he took the time to be supportive to me and my family.
He felt is was his job as a fellow Marine and FReeper and human being on the earth.
He did his job well.
I am a better person having know him.

God Bless you Faith.
Our prayers are with you today and for the future.

Thank you for posting that here.

The entire tribute is beautiful and a great honor to a wonderful man.

I am not in least bit surprised how many lives TC touched and how many people loved him. He was truly a good soul.

I am going to miss him.

On Friday the 18th My husband and I attended a Memorial Service for a dear friend of ours who had passed away on the 12th. In the bulletin was printed this saying.

Maybe God wanted us to meet the wrong person before
the right one so that when we finally meet the right person,
we will know how to be grateful for the gift.

Maybe when the door of happiness closes, another
opens, but often times we look so long at the closed door
that we don't see the one which has been opened for us.

Maybe the best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on
a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk
away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.

Maybe it is true that we don't know what we've got until
we lose it, but it is also true that we don't know what we've
been missing until it arrives.

There are moments in life when you miss someone so
much that you just want to pick them from your dreams
and hug them for real.

Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to
go; be what you want to be, because you only have one life
and one chance to do all the things you want to do.

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet,
enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep
you human, enough hope to make you happy.

Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss and ends
with a tear.

When you were born, you were crying and everyone
around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you
die you are the one smiling and everyone around you is crying.

Texas Cowboy was the right person to meet and he will be sorely missed.
