Murtha didn't flip. He's been saying this for over a year now. He's been shamefully propped up by the Dems because they are beginning to look bad.
Watching BOR. Hagle is on. BOR pressing him about the dems calling Bish a liar. Nagle feigns ignorance "I haven't heard anyone call him a liar."
BOR continues pressing. Hagle will not answer any qestions. Look forward. Blah Blah Blah.
BOR agrees with what Hagle says regaing "debate is good" but keeps pressing the "Bush lied" issue. Hagle never answers. BOR: "You are making a mistake by not answering the far left."
Hagle: "We have answered them with the vote in the Senate the other day."
BOR: "Do you have confidence in Bush
Hagle "I don't think it is in the hands of President Bush."
What is it about Senators? Their arrogance is overwhelming. They believe they do not have to answer to us.
Yeah, they cart out Murtha-- the Clinton worshipper-- to give them cover when they are confronted by their lies.
I know, I know you're just the messenger.
If we don't mobilize. If we don't make our voices heard en masse, they will win.
Let me tell you something, I'd vote for a grilled cheese sandwich with lenin's likeness on it before I ever vote for this Manchurian Candidate, Bildeberger a-hole Hagel.
Dick Morris said "with friends like that. You had to pull his teeth to get him to criticize those who are criticizing the President."
Very well stated -- you said it much better than I did!
Absolutely. And he can still kiss my ass.

The stated strategy has been to destabilize the ME through Iraq. That is the neo-con policy born of an undertsanding that we (and the world) can not be safe until the map in the ME has been changed. Bush reiterated as much in his speech Friday.
We are building over a dozen depot-type installations in ex-urban areas of Iraq. Each will contain enough materiel to support a RTC in the field for weeks or longer. This will eliminate the need to take months building the necessary supplies next time we need to jump ugly in the area.
This is no secret nor is it news. Bush, Rummy and Cheney have all spoken about this policy. That is what the war was about, not oil, WMD, Saddam or revenge. We needed a ME base and we had enough cause to take Iraq.
Murtha sounded like a Frenchman! If he REALLY cared about the military, he would support their BOSS, The COMMANDER IN CHIEF to tell his fellow Demcrats to STFU and work for VICTORY NOT SURRENDER!!
I'm too young to remember too much about Vietnam, but I understand the fear people have over the similar cut and run strategy. Even if the senate and house are crumbling, the president will stay strong. The whole thing is sickening.
Your are correct. If some of these half brained know it alls would read history for once. I for one think the Iraq Campaign, and that's what it is a campaign in the War On Terror, will go down as one of the greatest military operations the world has seen. Name me one nation or military that has conquered another nation in such little time with such little use of force and occupied that nation with less than 100 causalities a month during that time? Small insignificant attacks, ied's, weak ambushes, don't hold territory nor control the area. Just because you pop of a few rounds or blow up a car in a crowded market doesn't mean you made a successful attack. The US Army has performed magnificently the last four years. An all volunteer force making a difference in the world. Nothing like this has ever been seen before. We've won this fight. Killing an American doesn't constitute a victory. The enemy can't push us out. They can only hope we will give up and leave. Next stop Damascus then onto Tehran where the fight really lives.
I believe the war has been brought into the foreground from the background by the RATS because they are trying to cement their party together. After a period of pro and anti war factions, they are looking for a way to close ranks.
That the RATS use a war where Americans are dying is unconscionable;however, it is exactly what they did in Viet Nam. In their way of thinking, they are fearful of a 1972 blow out as a divided party.
There was a great article in the NYT by a number of Pubbies on answering Murtha. The reasoning was superb and should receive wide coverage.
Another thing driving this into the foreground of the MSM and the RATS is the 15Th of December: this is when a new government is installed in Iraq. Imagine, if things begin to quiet down after this! The RATS have opted to betray their own country and hope for a defeat to save their sorry behinds.
Even Mr. Conservative, Barry Goldwater, veered left in his dotage.
Amen.... I'd like more transparency on exactly who Chuck Hagel is..because the legend someone made for him is just not adding up. He's not even from Nebraska. He went out there to make it seem like he is a man of the Heartland... something is very amiss with him. I don't trust him.
