My Fellow FReepers,
As it now past midnight (well at least for those of us in Central Standard Time) and I did a general search and couldn't find a single thread dedicated to election 2005, I have taken the liberty of creating one.
THIS is the place to post all your updates and discussions on '05 races around the country. From the Boston Mayoral Race to the fight for Virginia Attorney General, keep the adrenaline flowing here.
Will the GOP make a midterm gubernatorial comeback after suffering through the 2001 "mistakes" of McGreeley and Mark Warner? Will Ahnuld, the CA Dummycrats, or independent minded conservatives emerge triumph in California's latest (but not greatest!) "special election"? Will the liberal incumbent crush his equally liberal challenger in New York? And do conservatives even care?
Let's get the discussion rolling folks. You heard it here first!
Do the Democrats even have a single serious candidate to run against him, outside of Lockyer?
Bah.. You NO on 77 voters are probably gerrymandered into as safe district with a rep that represents your conservatives views. I live in a city (Ontario, CA) gerrymandered so that I have Democratic wackos representing me.
Proposition 73 - YES!!!
Proposition 74 - YES
Proposition 75 - YES!!!!!
Proposition 76 - damned if we do, damned if we don't (i.e., no position)
Proposition 77 - YES
Proposition 78 - NO
Proposition 79 - NO
Proposition 80 - NO
I voted yes on redistricting. Both parties should be ashamed of the mess the districts are in. Ribbon of Shame anyone?
Tom Sullivan, conservative local host at KFBK in Sacramento is covering the propositions on the radio/internet.

Exactly.
I project a turnout of at least 1.4 million of the 12.5 million registered Texas voters.
Why did my blood pressure go up when I read your post?
I work in Alaska but I have a home in California so I am interested in things political in California and I'm eager for reform. I'll be back down there in 18 months. If reforms start passing in the state, I may stay...otherwise, hello Nevada.
The DUmmies have been screeching about election fraud for days. Now they are all screaming about definate election fraud in the Virginia race. Its a hoot to read their postings today. Quite funny really. If God himself were counting the votes they would still scream when they lose.
Pdddddddddt! The freakin polls are not even closed yet, and they are talking about voter fraud?! Amazing!
Whoa!
Is that statewide or just Orange County?
Election fraud?
What a bunch of hooey!
What are they claiming? Robed and hooded Klansmen w/Kilgore stickers keeping blackas from voting?
The DU is a giant diarrhea-filled cyber-toilet.
It's disgusting that some Repubs are against Prop 77. They just do not want tighter districts in which they will actually be held accountable for their actions or lack thereof in Sacto.
Yep simmy....its a hoot
I early voted in Texas...voted for Prop 2....puts marriage protection (heterosexual) as an amendment to the Tx. state constitution. Expected to pass and hope it sets a precedent for the rest of the nation.
I was voter #168 in my rat-infested district in the SF Bay Area at about 2:30 p.m.
That's because god is obviously not on their side.
Good afternoon.
"Proposition 77 - NOOOOOO!!!!!!"
You're not from around here, are you?
