It is now getting dark in Paris and in all of France(appx. 6:40 PM Paris Time), and if there are any French FR lurkers(lurquers), this may be the thread to post your reports about any further violence.
It seems the French govt. is impotent in it's response to what seems are jihadist thugs and it seems the American media has put a news blackout filter to what is really happening, so as not to embarass their heroes, Chirac et al.
So any news reports or personal reports from what happens tonight are welcome, and don't worry about broken English, reports in French are welcome also, I have no doubt someone can translate.
I really dread putting up a live thread about such a matter, but it seems that the American MSM is following French govt. orders to play down to what it seems is an insurrection.
No, that would be...overkill.
The "American black ghettos" have been replaced. France isn't the only government that needs some change in policies and to admit it is creating an underclass.

What is a Colonia?
Texas Secretary of State's Definition: The term "colonia," in Spanish means a community or neighborhood. The Office of the Secretary of State defines a "colonia" as a residential area along the Texas-Mexico border that may lack some of the most basic living necessities, such as potable water and sewer systems, electricity, paved roads, and safe and sanitary housing. n recent years the Texas-Mexico border region has experienced an explosion of growth in population and industrial activity. Although growth has resulted in economic opportunities, it has also intensified the environmental health and social challenges. Among the border states, Texas has the largest number of colonias approximately 1,800 communities, with more than 500,000 residents. Sixty-five percent of all residents, and 85% of residents under the age of 18, were born in the United States. (aka Anchor babies) These Americans live in extreme poverty and often are unaware of the services that the United States and Texas can provide for them. Education is a key to addressing the problems faced by colonia residents, but reaching out to these communities poses unique challenges that require unique approaches.
Ninety-eight percent of the residents are Hispanic and speak little or no English.

Reading from a State Department script can have that effect on you I guess. I'll withhold judgement and try to rein in my initial reaction and see what results might be forthcoming...but the majority opinion seems to be the piano might have been a good alternative career...
The French government sent the Police "back into" Clichy-Sous-Bois? Are you saying that the French police have actually been absent from that area? Why don't you document that. Else, it's a tin-foil theory.
Do you believe the French police were actually chasing the two "youths"? The police have denied that. Yet the story persists, circumstances are magnified and the flames are fanned.
Sure you have lord-of-the-flies youths who are looking for a fight. But there is more to it.
It's tin-foil to think that two electrocuted youths can bring about days of rioting across an entire country without... some organized help. So why such organized help and why such unprecedented rioting now over such a non-event.
The most likely answer is because of the events that I documented in my previous posts.
At least we can be glad they are overwhelmingly Catholics, and not disposed to blowing things up. However worrying the influx of Mexicans may be for many, they are not TROP®.
LCI reporting on their news scroll that about 10 cars were torched in the 3rd and 17th and arrondissements. I hadn't heard the 17th mentioned before.
What makes it the "more obvious reason"?
It was a change in government policy so I read. The two youths were an incident. Maybe what I read is wrong.
I had not heard that, but would agree if true. The west is allowing far too many people who have different goals, to enter their nations, yet still expect peace.
With even a 5% presense of moslems in a society, everything changes. It doesn't seem possible, but this to be true.
I recall news report last year of a street fight in Paris amongst drug dealers that involved rocket propelled grenades.
I am an Arab and a Muslim from the Middle East, living in the Middle East. I feel more angered by what is happening France in the last 10 days or so, than the French themselves, or indeed Europeans, Americans, etc of the West. I am writing this cause I keep seeing wide spread misconceptions about the people who commit such acts of violence be it in the streets of France, or else where.
First and foremost, these so called disgruntled communities in the Suburbs of Paris or in other parts of Europe (Denmark, Holland, etc), they DONT reperesent Muslims, since they are Muslim by birth not practice. To practice Islam, one must speak Arabic fluently. These people have little affilitation with the Arabic language, so how can they be said to be true Muslims, unless uttering few of the same words repeated at prayer time every day qualifies one to be true Muslim. Their prefered language even in their home countries is Franch. They are minorties largely, if not entirely, made up of North Africans: Morrocans, Algerians, and Tunisians. I know the nature of these people, as I had many encounters with them in Europe and Middle East.
The NA people (Morrocans, Alegerians, Tunisians, Lybians), are originally of the Berber race (derived from the word Barbarians), they are neither Arab or Muslim by any measure.
My encounters with Morrocans and Algerians in the past decade - in France !! - has been most shocking. I was robbed 2 times by Morrocans, in front of my eyes at my hotel room in South of France (very daring must say), and there was nothing I can do about it, as they flee the premises. I was almost kidnapped by Algerian taxui driver who was taking me to my hotle in Paris!! I mean you, we, are dealing with not normal people here, they are thugs, crooks, theives, etc.
I am told by many visitors of Morroco, that the poverty and corruption in the land is so wide spread that the population can be divided into 3 distinct groups: 50% prostitutes, 25% pimps, and the rest is amixture of crooks and bandits. Ask anyone who's been to Morroco and they will tell ya what kind of willing and able! women abound there!!
This is NOT a msge of hatered against NA peoples from those countries, rather a mild expression of deep anger at what they are doing to france, to the image of Muslims, and Arabs (when they have nothing to do with the Arab race). I for one is for the full and unlimited use of force against these bandits, be it wiping them from the French map, or expelling them to where they belong (morroco, algeirs, tunisia). Such a shame that Europe, US, and the West in general that has given them some form of sanctuary to make a living and make peace with the world they live in, they end up turning against the provider.
Interesting post, but Berbers are a small minority. Don't try to dump it all on them, and cleanse the Arabs. But it has nothing to do with either. It is just an immigrant group, that failed to fit in, and gain upward mobility traction, and turned into an ghettoized underclass, in a insular society that did not know what to do with poor immigrants such as these, and f upped.

I should add, that it seems an invariable trait of human nature, to blame it on somebody else, and never on one's own tribe. Never on Sunday.

The Berbers(Amazigh) were originally not Muslims. Most Berbers now are Muslim.
