It is now getting dark in Paris and in all of France(appx. 6:40 PM Paris Time), and if there are any French FR lurkers(lurquers), this may be the thread to post your reports about any further violence.
It seems the French govt. is impotent in it's response to what seems are jihadist thugs and it seems the American media has put a news blackout filter to what is really happening, so as not to embarass their heroes, Chirac et al.
So any news reports or personal reports from what happens tonight are welcome, and don't worry about broken English, reports in French are welcome also, I have no doubt someone can translate.
I really dread putting up a live thread about such a matter, but it seems that the American MSM is following French govt. orders to play down to what it seems is an insurrection.
[...and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."...]
This is incredible. Thank you for sharing. Please repeat it. I will save it.
BTW I enjoyed reading your personal page... we are completely in agreement. Ephesians 6:18.
Le Pen is not a "darker force" than Communist Ch'Iraq. Remember that the MSM have been treating him for decades the way they now treat George W Bush. So you don't even have to give the benefit of the doubt to what you might have "learned" about him from them.
To be sure, Le Pen has been much of a disappointment in the last decade as he moved twelve years from his former Reaganite positions and embraced protectionism, Buchanan-like, and worse, as he associated with anti-Muslim Nazis like Vojislav Seselj in Serbia and Muslim Nazis like Saddam Hussein in Iraq.
He did not react to 11/9 like he should have, that is by acknowledging that France and the US are in all this together, and the Jews are now the natural allies of French nationalists against the common enemy of Muslim Nazism, whether they recognize this or not.
On the contrary, his mixed, contradictory positions have pretty much eliminated him as a credible alternative. It may even be that his conversion to right-wing socialism opened the floodgates of anti-free-market propaganda in France.
But he has been telling the truth about the dangers of Muslim immigration for decades and, as many of his anti-democrat friends might tell you, he is a sincere advocate of democracy, contrary to the charges of "fascism" leveled against him.
frances anarchy is of their own making.
Thanks for the complement on my home page. But, I'm not sure it was mine you read since I don't reference Ephesians 6:18.
Keep on FReepin.
They're right!
France's atrocities on the African continent have come back to bite her in the you-know-what.
Keep on Freepin... er Prayin' in the spirit at all times with all kinds of prayer. Eph 6:18 was my insert. It's one of the ways I sign. Still friends?
Mary doesn't call him "Serpenthead" for nothing! LOL!
Oooooooh! I was not ready for that Carville picture. Very funny. He proves evolution.
Torie and Ivan,
Do you or anyone else remember the young French conservative girl that was posting occasionally on FR two years ago. As I remember, her screen name was her own name or the one that she used in political circles and she was supportive of US action at the time of the Iraq invasion as well as leading demonstrations in France.
It would be interesting to find her on the web and see what she and her compatriots are saying about the current happenings.
yes, he was in Mecha in his UCLA days
No, they are still making toast and talking about poor impoverished youts who are beurs. ( That's youths of arab backgrounds born in France, but you would have missed that.)Not to worry, anything you need to know, ask me or Dark Skies, we've been here all day, helping to fan the flames while Paris burns. BTW it's all Bushes fault, France warned the US if they went into Iraq the muslims would be revolting.
And just like the french peasants were, they sure are. Got that?
But y'all have a lot of experience in that kind of thing -- I don't. :)
Bump
These "underclass youth" of Muslim/North African origin may not be jihadists. But I suspect that some jihadists may be fanning the flames or maybe even instigating the entire thing.
All one has to do is look at the events with Syria and Iran in recent weeks and the newly-hatched positions the French are starting to take on Iran and Syria.
I'm not excusing or agreeing with what the French leaders are doing. I never have. I merely said that there ARE French people who are conservative. Period.
ouihad bump
Ouihad!
Payback is usually a bytch. It looks like france is getting it's just dessert.
