Paris/France burns, Live thread (night #10)

It is now getting dark in Paris and in all of France(appx. 6:40 PM Paris Time), and if there are any French FR lurkers(lurquers), this may be the thread to post your reports about any further violence.

It seems the French govt. is impotent in it's response to what seems are jihadist thugs and it seems the American media has put a news blackout filter to what is really happening, so as not to embarass their heroes, Chirac et al.

So any news reports or personal reports from what happens tonight are welcome, and don't worry about broken English, reports in French are welcome also, I have no doubt someone can translate.

I really dread putting up a live thread about such a matter, but it seems that the American MSM is following French govt. orders to play down to what it seems is an insurrection.

If you remove the reference to Mexicans in your post, I suspect that taking undesirable jobs at low wages, is what most of any of our own immigrant ancestors did at different points of time in our history.

Sometimes it does, sometimes it does not. America is fortunate that most of its willing immigrants, have come here to become Americans, and capture the dream, and the ethos. I still believe that is the case, Mexicans included, no matter how much some Hispanic politicians try to make it otherwise. France has done a poor job with its immigrants. It is not used to immigrants really. It was and is an insular society, despite the Fracophone hype to the contrary.

I wouldn't qualify anything if I were you. I'm sick and tired of playing "Twister" with my posts and qualifying everything because of offending this group or that.

There were plenty of Nazis in Germany, tons of them. They didn't oppose Hitler or hide Jews except in the smallest numbers.

The "religion of peace" breeds murderers and terrorists who cannot live in peace with their neighbors of other faiths and cultures. I don't care how many or what percentage of good people exist among them. If Christians advocated anything resembling the deeds and opinions of radical Islam we'd be apologizing right and left for the extremists in our faith.

The Muslims who disagree with rioting and terrorism should do the same, or be considered as their allies.

I've heard of the TV series V but never watched it. So the V's were lizards.. lol There's actually some conspiracy people on the internet who really believe there are lizard people here on earth. I wonder which came first - the TV show, or the conspiracy on the internet??

I'll have to watch for re-runs of the show. Sounds like a good diversion to escape from the science fiction shows which are called the MSM. :)

I haven't seen "V" around on reruns. It was a pretty bad show. But it was cool when they ate rats. Hmmmm. Illegal aliens eating "rats" alive. Wishing something.

Considering that yours is the 886th post, I find that bit surprising, and if accurate, disconcerting.
