It is now getting dark in Paris and in all of France(appx. 6:40 PM Paris Time), and if there are any French FR lurkers(lurquers), this may be the thread to post your reports about any further violence.
It seems the French govt. is impotent in it's response to what seems are jihadist thugs and it seems the American media has put a news blackout filter to what is really happening, so as not to embarass their heroes, Chirac et al.
So any news reports or personal reports from what happens tonight are welcome, and don't worry about broken English, reports in French are welcome also, I have no doubt someone can translate.
I really dread putting up a live thread about such a matter, but it seems that the American MSM is following French govt. orders to play down to what it seems is an insurrection.

An entire generation of French has grown up indoctrinated with the Nanny State, anti-capitalism, anti-war,anti-religion, environmentalist crapola that brings with it no responsibility.They are taught that everything is society's fault.
An entire generation from France's former North African
colonies has grown up with the same.
They have been denied by the rigid class structure in France any opportunity to better themselves and join the society as a productive member. In France it is extremely rare to be born poor, and work your way to success.
The result: anarchy, violence, and lawlessness.
My prediction: either a Law and Order, pro-American pro-Capitalist leader likes Nicholas Sarkozy gets elected, or an extremist leader on the Far Right, brings France closer to National Socialism, i.e. Nazism.
Let's be fair to Chirac. He may interpret the fires as a religious celebration. In sensitivity to their customs it would be rude for him to interfere and stop people from their ritual burning of cars, handicapped, 50 year old women, and primary schools. How can he know what is the right thing to do? Someone might be offended and call him racist. He just better leaves things alone and let them burn the entire country down. You don't want to be like George Bush and intervene.
Is this describing France or the US, cause this sounds like a description of the US drafted between liberals and corporate profiteers...

On that last, I have in the past made the prediction that we might again see concentration camps and gas chambers in Europe. I am not at all happy at making this observation, but nevertheless think it not at all unlikely. And within my lifetime, and I have not reached fifty.
That's my take too. The Socialists' inactivity will push Europe into the hands of Right wing extremists like the Nazi party. People won't know what else to do to defend themselves from the aliens the Socialists allowed in and continue to allow in. This will be an equally unsettling outcome.
