It is now getting dark in Paris and in all of France(appx. 6:40 PM Paris Time), and if there are any French FR lurkers(lurquers), this may be the thread to post your reports about any further violence.
It seems the French govt. is impotent in it's response to what seems are jihadist thugs and it seems the American media has put a news blackout filter to what is really happening, so as not to embarass their heroes, Chirac et al.
So any news reports or personal reports from what happens tonight are welcome, and don't worry about broken English, reports in French are welcome also, I have no doubt someone can translate.
I really dread putting up a live thread about such a matter, but it seems that the American MSM is following French govt. orders to play down to what it seems is an insurrection.

Well, at least in the case of France, they deserve what they are now getting. However, we, the USA, won't allow terrorists to ultimately 'rule or take over'...."ANY" country that we deem important to our freedoms. I'm not sure France is deemed as important to us in ANY way any longer, but.....make no mistake....
this is just the beginning. We'll probably end up saving their worthless @sses once again.
Ominous but not surprising. We will see some serious headknocking if the elite become threatened.

I'm still stunned by the lack of live coverage. Could you imagine how cable news would react to a riot in Atlanta that torched 900 cars in one night? Yet it seems so quiet for 10 days of rioting.

At this point, I believe that we won't see any real changes in France other than personnel changes as a result of this, but there is the emerging possibility that something catastrophic could happen here. The question is, are the "rioters" and the ones behind it going to do as much damage as possible, or is it going to stop, to see if they can force some changes?

No these are nightly totals each night as far as we know. So were into the thousands of cars across all of France.
Even a French official had said that this is not really newsworthy! He said that typically, 1,000 cars get torched every month in Paris. Even that is astonishing!

I've wondered about that too. This would be wall-to-wall if it were happening here- or in the UK.
How free IS the media in France? Do they have live cable 24/7 channels? How is this being shown to the French?
