It is now getting dark in Paris and in all of France(appx. 6:40 PM Paris Time), and if there are any French FR lurkers(lurquers), this may be the thread to post your reports about any further violence.

It seems the French govt. is impotent in it's response to what seems are jihadist thugs and it seems the American media has put a news blackout filter to what is really happening, so as not to embarass their heroes, Chirac et al.

So any news reports or personal reports from what happens tonight are welcome, and don't worry about broken English, reports in French are welcome also, I have no doubt someone can translate.

I really dread putting up a live thread about such a matter, but it seems that the American MSM is following French govt. orders to play down to what it seems is an insurrection.

Just did a Yahoo News Search on "France riots". It brings up 5 news photos - two from today and 3 from October 29!

I'm with you on the MSM blackout, however, I found that at Yahoo news that the insurrection was the lead story, featuring a slide show of 155 photographs.

I think we are right in supporting a unified Iraq and letting that pave the way for the rest of the middle east to learn how people can coexist under western democratic principles

The Democrats and the French have much in common. For one, they are both quitters. Their answer to everything is "get out" or "diplomacy". You are asking for a butt whippin when you pull up your skirt and run. If Kerry were Prez, he'd be tellin old Jacque to give the rioters half of France and Jimmy Carter would be praying not to be hurt.

I admit that I know very little about the Kurds. Most of the news coverage on Iraq focuses on Sunni vs Shia, and then there are those northern people that get very little attention. Seems like I remember hearing that Turkey was not fond of the Kurds, but other than that, they get no coverage in our media or in our schools.

It's probably like any bad situation that seems okay, as long as you are able to move out of the way, when the fires start in your neighborhood.

To take over a neighborhood:

1. Have Muslims move in as scouts
2. Have vandalization occur on non-Muslim property, so as to induce non-Muslims to move away
3. More Muslims move in, and the cycle repeats

Tony Snow sat in for O'Reilly tonite. He had a guy named Steve Purl who was a former member of the Scotland Yard Special Ops.

Not only did Purl say it was Muslims, he said the Paris unrest is highly coordinated by terrorist ringleaders, and someone needs to go in and take them out before it will stop.

He also said that France's inability to deal with them is due to the fact they are a highly liberal, socialist society.
