It is now getting dark in Paris and in all of France(appx. 6:40 PM Paris Time), and if there are any French FR lurkers(lurquers), this may be the thread to post your reports about any further violence.
It seems the French govt. is impotent in it's response to what seems are jihadist thugs and it seems the American media has put a news blackout filter to what is really happening, so as not to embarass their heroes, Chirac et al.
So any news reports or personal reports from what happens tonight are welcome, and don't worry about broken English, reports in French are welcome also, I have no doubt someone can translate.
I really dread putting up a live thread about such a matter, but it seems that the American MSM is following French govt. orders to play down to what it seems is an insurrection.
My money is on Villipen to win in this opening round, Sarkozy will lose, only to fight another day , and be vindicated. One Sarkozy is temporarily out, the riots will stop, temporarily, giving Villepen and France a false sense of security.
That's why I prefaced it by saying "those doing these things", not all muslims. Those muslims in their homes, minding their business, only wanting to work go home, and be with their families, have no more share in the guilt of this than the french of french ancestry being victimized by the muslim thugs. Though really, I think they HAVE blame in this that the innocent muslims do not, because it is the french through their apathy and lack of recognition and understanding that created this situation, and their lack of desire to hold their government responsible as it became more and more socialistic and more and more appeasists over the years. It may be muslims that are doing it, but it's the french who created the atmosphere and the vehicle with which it's being done. The muslims are doing it, but the french enabled them to do it and then let them do it.
Yeah, in being polite. :D
...So far, though, there has been no religious dimension given to the riots. Those taking part have spoken more of protesting the misery of their lives in the fringe towns, where unemployment of over 20% is the norm.
The cause is complex, but at the same time...simple. They're Muslim youts, full of testosterone...like Palestinians...no decent jobs...like Palestinians...and no respect, like the Palies. But they have cradle to grave socialism, free education and apartment complexes like concrete bunkers.
They've been effectively segregated from 'nice, native France', given the dirtiest, lowest paying jobs. Partly because of the difficulty in firing workers...and if you're hired, you get health care, so it's hard to get hired. They say they're called names and looked at with disgust. They don't like that, either. They've formed gangs, there's drug dealing, and those areas where they live are places the cops avoid like the plague. They don't want to get shot at.
So we start with low self esteem, high testosterone, and the Islam factor. Islam says they're special, better than everyone else. Islam says it's okay to lie, cheat, steal, kill, maim, whatever, as long as it's infidels you're hurting/murdering. It's a blank check to riot, bomb, etc.. How long before real guns, rockets, grenades, bazookas, whatever are brought in by Al Qaeda and pals? (Sooner rather than later.)
You can bet bin Laden and Zakawri (sp?) are watching this intensely, deciding when to make a move. Iran's top mullah/president crackpot has already ordered all Muslims to burn down France. They might not have to wait until they have a plurality in the population...say thirty years. They might win concessions that effectively give them the whole pie right now. And France has nukes.
The table is already well set! Just wait until some American is subjected to "Islamic justice" by some judge for a crime committed within some muslim jurisdiction of America. It's gonna happen and when it does it'll be very, very interesting.
Muslims don't want to integrate. They want to come here, occupy our land, just like they try to do to Israel in the Middle East, and then they implement Islamic and Arab government and law(s) within their own "jurisdictions." That's what's happnening in Paris right now. Detroit is exactly like it here. You couldn't pay me enough to live within 200 miles of Detroit now.
Hey not at all, no offense taken. 8) Especially if you are tired and fatigued. Definitely if taken in part, what I said could be taken wrong, so that's why I tried to be very specific. If you're an Iraqi Kurd, like your nickname says, frankly, I believe your people should be given your own nation in northern Iraq. The Kurdish people have been subjugated and harrassed by the turks and sheite / sunni Iraqis for decades and it's not right, but as long as real democracy is upheld in Iraq, the Kurds will do just fine there. America has a responsibility to make sure that is the case. NOTHING LESS than that is acceptable. If all muslims were like Kurdish muslims we wouldn't be having this discussion and I believe 9-11 wouldn't have happened. I have the same felings about these radical muslims in france and the terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan as I do the radical racist nazi like fascists that hide in the shadows of the U.S.. They should ALL be done away with. Anyway, thanks for your posts. I definitely don't want what I said to be taken wrong.
An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile - hoping it will eat him last. Sir Winston Churchill British politician (1874 - 1965)
Exactly. 8) We are on the same paragraph of the same page for sure.
Looks like the jihadist thugs are starting early.
That cannot be allowed to happen. I do not think the U.S. would sit idly by in such circumstances.
Two schools burned down in Grigny along with a paper recycling plant. 23 cars burned in Essone. A school and 35 vehicles burned in Vigneux (before 10PM local time). In Seine Saint Denis "many" cars have been torched and a gymnasium in Noisy le Grand is on fire. In Seine et Marne an 18 wheeler was torched just in front of the technical high school -- fireman arriving at the scene were pelted with rocks.
Fire bombs are being used in Avignon, Saint-Dizier, Soissons, Nantes, Montauban, and in Loir-et-Cher.
Numerous attacks are reported in Northern France : Lille, Roubaix, Tourcoing, and Mons-en-Baroeuil. Firemen report an 18 wheeler on fire in Lille and a bus burning in Auby.
Marseille has reported 3 burning cars (before 9PM local time). Cannes and Nice also report torched vehicles. Firemen have been attacked in Nice.
Toulouse reports half a dozen cars torched before 9PM local time.
"We need to call the youths...'youts', as in 'Cousin Vinny'."
In Iran during '79-81, these kind were called "students"
Boy is that someone else I would love to hear from. I would LOVE it if Sir Winston Churchill could speak for an hour on this. Has Lady Margaret Thatcher sounded off about it? I'm sure she would have some things to say.
Whoops - didn't read the last few posts before posting the new info - thanks!
Isn't that the truth!!
Just did a Yahoo News Search on "France riots". It brings up 5 news photos - two from today and 3 from October 29! Today's "news photos" are nearly identical and feature France's Minister for Employment, Social Cohesion (huh?!) and Housing Jean-Louis Borloo
Reuters - Sat Nov 5, 9:09 AM ET
France's Minister for Employment, Social Cohesion and Housing Jean-Louis Borloo (R) speaks to journalists as French Finance Minister Thierry Breton (L) listens in the courtyard after a ministerial meeting at the prime minister's Hotel Matignon offices in Paris following the ninth night of riots in the suburbs, November 5, 2005. Violence erupted again in poor suburbs of Paris where youths torched buildings and dozens of cars and sporadic unrest spread in the early hours of Saturday to at least three other French cities. That's it, folks, for news photos of "France riots".
However, "Argentina riots" on Yahoo News Search, generates 48 news photos!
Bias? Nah! (/sarcasm)
