Professor's attorney: CU 'backs down,' will allow comp time...
Ward Churchill will enjoy a spring semester paid break from teaching...
Churchill had requested a sabbatical next semester. CU has not yet ruled on that request...
David Lane, the attorney for the controversial University of Colorado ethnic studies professor...
Instead of waiting for that decision - which may not come until December - Lane said that Churchill asked that he be permitted to "un-bank" two courses worth of extra time he has already logged in CU classrooms.
"They said, 'No, you can't un-bank courses,' " Lane said. "So I sent them a letter saying, 'You will be in federal court Nov. 1,' " if Churchill's request was not granted.
CU "backed down" Tuesday, said Lane, and said, "OK, OK, he can un-bank as many courses as he wants."
Lane said Churchill's plan is to spend the coming spring semester working on "several books" for which he is under contract, while continuing to collect his annual salary of about $94,000.
Churchill has been a subject of controversy since early this year, when outrage erupted over the discovery of a 2001 essay he authored in which he likened some 9/11 victims at the World Trade Center to Nazi war criminal Adolf Eichmann.

I agree...shameful.
Now that "C" has passed...the University feels less pressure to be financially and/or morally responsible.
And this is not stealing to a liberal!
Not only do we tolerate traitors and fifth columnists, we pay them also...oh well, it is only taxpayer money.
The university is stuck with him...and basically...the only way he is going to quit...is when the university hands him classes to teach which he refuses. I would start by giving him classes related to a higher percentage of young 18-year old girls...young female freshmen. The potential for Ward to stray the path and do something stupid is very high. I would add to that...some classes to have to deal with black Americans...and let them douse his special Indian causes speech. Thats the only way he is going to leave that campus.

Coloradoans should demand their tax rebate, plus a rebate of phony native american Ward Churchill's academic salary.

I suspect the faculty at CU must be closet self loathers,
that enjoy have Churchill $hit on them and the taxpayers.

Yes, and Colorado with their new citizens from California, Mexico...voted in ( yesterday ) " C " which will give Billions of new tax dollars for the liberals to spend.
