McPain is so far in the middle that he doesn't stand for anything. Let's see how wishy-washy that he will be on the filibuster.
TOPICS: Government

Now does everyone know why Meirs was chosen?? Imagine being President Bush trying to negotiate with this backstabber??
You are definitely correct. However, I must add that W has helped to empower these Lib Republicans by supporting Specter in his reelection and then for his current chairmanship.

" Sounds like the President knocked on the Democrats door early this morning and said:
Trick or Treat "
I've been thinking " Knock knock...Alitogram " all day.

I thought Tony said that Spector had 'lost' or something against Alito but he didn't think Spector would hold this against him. I missed how they came up against each other. I only came back in the room to hear Tony say that he thought that Spector wouldn't hold that against Alito.

I believe that Specter will be no problem -- reminds me of the first Godfather Movie when the Godfather told the funeral home operator that some day he could return a favor. I think Specter got the CALL!

And this guy who stands for absolutely nothing except running America into the ground wants to be Pres.
McPain tries so hard to be inoffensive that he is actually offensive.

Specter and Alito are friends from way back so not sure what Snow is talking about unless they learned to know each other when they opposed on a case.

He is still expressing support for Alito but also seems to be backing the fillibuster.

Yes, Dan-o, it was 1999. I recall the wars. You must recall that my husband went thru the USNA with him. I'm just sure he'll end up supporting Alito. He to HAS to. He's running for our GOP nomination...lol.I think all of those RINO's who are running for re-election in 2006 or President in 2008, including John McRINO and his shoeshiner Linsay Graham, will be supporting Alito. They HAVE to, in order to get beyond the primaries.

It's a refence to the old movie "The Racket", it's appropriate because John McCain tries to present himself as the incorruptable Captain McQueeg.
