Per Fox News...
Roberts, Scalia, Thomsas, Kennedy
Thanks for an important clarification.
Well, I'm an "evangelical? Christian, and so long as Mr. Alito is a strict constructionist Judge and is conservative, I could care less if he's Catholic or Protestant. He clearly takes his faith seriously, so as far as I'm concerned he's on the same team as I am, and that means we both answer to the same person. That's all that matters. I LOVE Scalia, always have, always will, so if having Alito means having another Scalia, then BRING IT ON!!! 8)
No kidding. If they were smart they would have told Bush they didn't even need hearing and just confirmed Myers by unanimous consent.
Instead, they reveled in the "dissent" about Myers and now they find themselves with a real liberal nightmare....a real, known, conservative, originalist.
Schumer's very upset over this...saying the President should have picked a nominee that would unite Americans blah blah blah.
Schumer, of course, does anything but unite New Yorkers, much less Americans, himself.
Well...not JRB, but very good nonetheless.
"Sad inability to reason properly" though it may be, when the Dem's threaten to filibuster the Alito nomination they are going to point out that a lot of conservatives worked very hard to pressure Bush to deny her an up or down vote by withdrawing the nomination and will use this to support their refusal to let Alito have an up or down vote. It won't matter whether it is true or not, it is going to take a lot of serious lawyering to convince the public that the conservative pundits can logically take both positons. I don't have to be convinced. Now that Alito is the nominee, I want him confirmed too.
Amen bro!
Agreed.
Yep. I was very much against Miers, but am quite happy with the nomination of Samuel Alito.

Yep--BRING IT ON you lib/socialists! We are ready to throw down on this one...
Let's not forget Dianne Feelingstein.
Scalia, Thomas, Roberts and Kennedy.
Totally correct. Bush was in a "Git r' done" pinch, and making Roberts the Chief Justice was the easiest way to do that. Scalia would have made an AWESOME Chief Justice, but it was would have made things VERY complicated.
He's a good pick. Already see that harry reid is mad.
This is exactly what I thought he would do when Miers failed, because when it comes to the judiciary he IS a conservative.
Excellent!!
The only thing that Schumer and Co. can oppose him on is his conservatism; and that will not fly.
Fight's on!!
