Since Harriet Miers withdrew her nomination to the Supreme Court, Democratic senators such as Barbara Boxer, Diane Feinstein, Chuck Schumer, and Dick Durbini.e. all the people who had absolutely nothing to do with Miers withdrawalhave been blanketing the airwaves with demands that Bush must now accede to their commands. So its good to see Democrats are still working on getting in touch with reality.
The Democrats didnt utter a note of disagreement with the Miers nomination. But now they say her withdrawal is their victory, which Bush must be forced to acknowledge by nominating a candidate to their liking. I believe thats what got Bush in trouble in the first place: Listening to Democratic Senator Harry Reid, who recommended Miers for the Supreme Court.
Although the circumstances were unfortunatewe prefer fighting liberals to fighting our Presidentthe Miers withdrawal is an unparalleled . . .

OK, ok, that WAS funny. And the time he was talking about all the subpoena's hitting the WH and saying he was dying to get subpoena'd, he had subpoena envy, that was funny too. I'll give you that.
But Coulter isn't anything like as bad as you are saying, you're just angry.
Her steadfast refusal to get down on kneepads for Bush? Put me on the enemies list too.
Well, for one, how many of those picks are we familiar with? Hell, how many is he that familiar with? The point is that the excellent picks are all considered excellent because of their records. We have no need to trust GWB on those picks. That's what MAKES them excellent. But without having a justifiable reason for why he picked Miers, why he smeared conservatives in an attempt to defend her, why he lied about her record on abortion, why should anyone trust him? Sorry, someone who makes a boneheaded pick like this one should be closely monitored.
Excuse me, I know I'm new here, but I thnk that if the President nominates Michael Luttig we would fight tooth and nail to get him ON the bench.
I trust the president.
Yep, that's it, keep lashing out at everyone who is on the conservative side. Pretty soon it'll be just you and the President against the rest of the world.
It's quite odd that Ann is loved when she agrees with the BushBots but if she dares write a letter contrary to the President she's the second coming of Helen Thomas.
With friends like YOU who needs enemies?

Apple Annie strikes again...
Heh heh heh
Dittoes.
Bringing back Karen Hughes in place of Andrew Card would seem to be a good idea. The WH was purring along like a kitten until she left. But I could be wrong.
She's not the one looking like a fool lately.
Next sentence she plagiarizes Biden's Kabuki dance imagery.
I wouldn't say that, but he did just get a strong reminder to
"dance with the one who brung him".
Me either.
No, Hughes is a singularly ineffective & dim hack. Where is the damn Alameda Mafia? Why Bush turns to Mother Hens in sensible shoes to run his White House is beyond me.
Fire Andy "the Rino clown" Card.

You got that right.
I think WE got a strong reminder that he will dance with us when forced to. He didnt' want to do it. And we already let him get by with Roberts.
I agree, but by the same token, I have little faith in the actions of the Republicans in the Senate, who act as if they're in the minority 95% of the time.
I'm not attacking everyone on the conservative side. To the contrary: If you check my original post on this thread, I made it quite clear I respect those who put forth rational and clam arguments against Miers. They were right and I was wrong.
However, there is no excuse for Maureen Ann Clymer's smarmy crack about the President actually nominating someone who is qualified. That's the exact same type of crap we hear from Maureen Dowd.
Also, if you can find a post where I said how great Maureen Ann Clymer was, please post it. I never thought much of her. She's the Right-Wing Michael Moore: Good at preaching to the converted, off-putting to everyone else.
Lady Ann is almost the perfect woman. She merely needs to sharpen her ruthlessness towards moderates and liberals, sometimes she's too nice to them.
Regards, Ivan
