Rep. Kirt Weldon is on Michael Savage's radio program, and he is implying Rumsfeld is the one blocking further investigation into Able Danger.
Weldon is fuming; says he personally (in a committee hearing) asked Rumsfeld about the investigation being blocked. Rumsfeld replied that he would 'get back to Weldon with a response.' Weldon says he still has gotten nothing from Rumsfeld.
Weldon to give a speech in a few moments this evening on the floor of the House. It should be aired on CSPAN this evening.
"I know he won't write back personally but I want someone to answer me why they are trying to ruin these men."
Only Bush has the juice to run a coverup this big.

IIRC, the "pens" issue occured when Lt. Col. Schaeffer was 15 years old. Doesn't make it right, but it's a petty hit considering.

The items sent to Tony Schaeffer were "personal effects" from his office. My guess was he wasn't allowed to return to pick them up and someone else packed them. They were either hand delivered or mailed to him, according to Weldon.
