TAMARAC, Fla. - A Walgreens employee allegedly stabbed a co-worker in an argument over who could microwave her soup first, authorities said.
Both women wanted to use the microwave in the employee break room Wednesday afternoon, according to the Broward County Sheriff's Office.
While they were fighting over who could use the microwave first, Mellesia Grant grabbed a large kitchen knife off the counter and stabbed Merloze Tilme in the abdomen, the sheriff's office said.
"They didn't get along to begin with. Who could use the microwave first became a major issue," Broward County Sheriff's Office spokesman Jim Leljedal said.
The two women then wrestled for the knife, each cutting their hands, before the store manager could stop the fight, Leljedal said.
Tilme, 20, was hospitalized early Friday in good condition, officials said.
Grant, 23, of North Lauderdale was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after being treated at a hospital for her wounds, officials said. She was being held on $50,000 bond
Guess she'll be needing some reading material while she's in the clink...

Steveo is right - this is going to go on their permanent record!
We had a rash of theft at our Widget Company regarding lunches and snacks from the fridge etc and someone made the special treats with exlax etc and that was all it took to stop it.
One recent event got the perp caught in the act fired as the food they stole belonged to the boss and he said if I can't trust ya over a couple of cookies how can I trust ya with a gazillion dollars in product, facilities and safety issues......bye bye !
This type of thing tends to discourage a promotion.
Don't stand in the way of a hungry woman and her food!
They need to come up with a new product: Hungry Woman.
"Cleanup in the break room..."
Ooh a cliff hanger! Who got to eat first??
The stabbee tried, but it all ran out...
And to think, they had all those meds close at hand. Guess this lends credibility to the "ya gotta take em to make em work" prescription.
Was the microwave so tiny, they couldn't heat up two "Cup of Soup"'s at the same?
Talk about morons.
Walgreen's fault for not providing two knives, one for each, to be fair.
Looks like ebonics names, can we get a loone?
Leggo my Eggo, beetch.
What complete a$$hole$ they are...it's especially disturbing to hear the rest of the a$$hole$ in the backround cheering them on....it's too bad this crap gets filmed for entertainment....
lol
