I was suprised someone as educated as Laura would try to do something like that.

"Even if he's not indicted, if it appears that a top adviser to the president of the United States was trying to harm someone personally for having a different public policy point of view, that's unacceptable behavior in the White House," Sen. Evan Bayh said. If Bayh said that, then the cat is out of the bag! Rove is not going to be indicted. IMHO

Fox News has Megan Kendall reading "excerpts" from those notes that Miers sent to Bush...
I read them last night and posted them on the Daily Dose...
BUT, when Kendall was reading them (even though they were posted on the TV screen)...she was reading them dramatically with a "love novel" voice...it was disgusting, and IMHO, very unbecoming for Fox!!!
IF those notes were read in context and in FULL....no one would think there is anything wrong with them....and I dare say...I LIKED them...they were professional..but she also complimented Bush and Laura in the same ways that a lot us on Free Republic do everyday.

Senate Judiciary Chairman Arlen Specter, R-PA, announced today he will delay confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Harriet Miers until he can locate some Senators who are intellectually qualified to question her on the finer points of Constitutional law.
What? They can bring other people on board besides Committee members to question nominees? Gotta go read their rules.

Glad to hear it on Cannon. If you were the evacuees, would you want to go back?

Rove is not going to be indicted. IMHO
Fingers crossed! I really want to see a few dems indicted on bogus charges when Rove is vindicated.(Starting with Pelosi.) I pray every night he knows a few Republican prosecutors who owe him a favor.

There I was, doing housework, listening to Rush. All of a sudden, Rush is reading this brilliant essay written by our own Congressman Billybob, freeper and constitutional lawyer.
Gave me a glow that will last all day. Freepers are movers and shakers, talented and, of course, good lookin'.

We do call it home. We are not the "I'm staying home because they do not do everything exactly the way I want" crowd. Most of you are just looking for excuses to be mad. We do not. Sorry but most of you claiming to "talk for the base", don't.

It was satire. See above...really funny and so true.

Hello,
So true. She has unfortunately been dealt a very hard hand. Had she taken time off to deal with both her health and her broken engagement, perhaps the bitterness we now hear each day would have not reached this level. I do not disagree with her right to her opinion on Mier's nomination, but a little class would be preferable to what we hear now.
Glad to be here, MOgirl

If Bayh said that, then the cat is out of the bag! Rove is not going to be indicted.I think you are right. I was listening to Hairball the last couple of days, and I could hear the punditry swinging away from Rove. It was making Chrissy Matthews desperate. He wanted it soooo bad.

Hey Clareece,
I don't think there ever was a case on this at all.
Everyone thought the stuff was gonna hit the fan this week. I don't think there is any "stuff".
They might indict Valerie Plame for telling on herself though! LOL

energy independence, the GWOT, etc.?
Nope. Sorry but the proper term for your wing is the reactionaries not Conservatives. You did not leave us, WE left you. You are the same people who spent the 1980s ranting about Reagan dealing with the commies. After watching the Pat Buchannan wing in action for over 20 years, it is fairly obvious the ONLY consistent ideology on their side is being mad.

It would be good for all of us to remember that a home with just a base and no supports, walls, or a roof, is really just a big ol' slab of concrete.
