Very well put....I think there are a lot of freepers like me...I was disappointed and still am, but now I am getting so angry at the over the toppers....
that I am beginning to wonder if all of these people that I have listened to...and admired, aren't just as bad as the Dean's, McAuliffe's and Begalas...that just do NOT know how "regular" people really are.
Regular people can look upon THIS President as an honest to goodness human being...that is fallible...but not in a devious way.
BTW...off the subject..but ABC RADIO NEWS...is just as obviously biased as Terry Moron and George Stephy!!! They slant every single sentence as anti-Bush! blech
Join the Tony Snow thread in the morning. Excellent show and great Freepers there daily. :) He's calm and rational. Real Class act.
I have to mute the radio while listening to Rush, Levin, etc. when the news comes on. It's all anti Bush all the time. Sort of like some posters here at FR lately.......
It will be difficult for Laura to argue in the future that Presidential nominees deserve an up-or-down vote.
Bush Failed to Ask 'What Would Kristol Do?'
by Scott Ott
(2005-10-07) -- President George Bush today acknowledged that before appointing Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court he failed to ask himself the question that he habitually applies to such decisions: 'What would Kristol do?'
William Kristol, the neo-conservative editor of The Weekly Standard, has led the Republican outcry against a nominee who, conservatives fear, secretly favors abortion kiosks in shopping malls, and who may view the Constitution as metaphorical poetry.
The president, who wears a WWKD reminder bracelet, said, "I guess I got caught up in the moment, and tempted by the allure of appointing a justice who actually speaks in language I can understand."
Upon hearing of the president's remark today, Mr. Kristol said, "Acknowledging your sin is only half of repentance, but I stand ready to graciously forgive if the president will turn and follow me."
And this one:
Specter: Senators Not Qualified to Question Miers
by Scott Ott
(2005-10-11) -- Senate Judiciary Chairman Arlen Specter, R-PA, announced today he will delay confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Harriet Miers until he can locate some Senators who are intellectually qualified to question her on the finer points of Constitutional law.
"Most of us in the Senate used to be lawyers," said Sen. Specter, "and you can't expect a simple ambulance chaser to understand the kind of weighty issues that come before the Supreme Court."
The chairman noted that Senators not only "lack the intellectual heft" to comprehend Constitutional law and formulate questions about it, but many of them became lawmakers through "what amounts to a popularity contest."
"The average senator holds his seat thanks to personal wealth, political cronyism and the ability to perform for the camera," Sen. Specter said. "Those are hardly qualifications for scrutinizing a potential Supreme Court justice about the various theories related to original intent."
White House spokesman Scott McClellan said the president encouraged Sen. Specter to proceed with the hearings anyway.
"As you know," Mr. McClellan said, "you go into confirmation hearings with the Senate you have, Theyre not the Senate you might want or wish to have at a later time."

He's one of my very favorites on FOX, if they had an 'evening newscast' I'd watch his show everytime.
later all! have an excellent day.
I noticed the same thing with LI, the slide came during Katrina and I haven't listened since. It's snowman for me.

I stream WOKV out of Jacksonville. They use foxnews. :)
Here's a more predicatable reaction on "things"... this cheers me up no end! Sen Bayh on Rove:
"Even if he's not indicted, if it appears that a top adviser to the president of the United States was trying to harm someone personally for having a different public policy point of view, that's unacceptable behavior in the White House," Sen. Evan Bayh said.
you got it!
Don't you just wanna slap Libby for even talking to Matt Cooper?
No, he's giving ammunition to the Conservative Base to keep working to reform the GOP so we can again call it home and be energized to win again in 2006 and 2008. You don't think the White House/GOP has been off the Conservative track on spending, borders/immigration, energy independence, the GWOT, etc.?
In other words....even if he didn't do anything wrong...we still get to accuse him...because we CAN!!!
Do it, you won't be sorry. As someone else mentioned, Laura has been out to lunch since August.

Oh man....in my dreams someone would have the nerve to say that. Thanks for the laugh. :)
I wouldn't have faulted her at all if she took some more time off during the summer, it may be coming back to haunt her now.
