""Chuck Shumer "neutral" on Ms Meirs at press conference broadcast on Fox News."
Are you reporting that as "fact," because that's not what I saw at all."
I didn't see it either. I was simply quoting someone else's post.

Every time some huge spending bill got pushed through, all we heard was "just be patient, it is all about the judges". Well, this is what we got.
Amen. My patience has officially run out. I will not give these squishy faux conservatives another opportunity to stab me in the back.
All you out there that think that social conservatives will continue to hold their noses at the polls, are about to get a rude awakening. We have principles and if it means letting this country see how bad it can get, then so be it.

Harry Reid supports her, and suggested she would be acceptible.BS.
I've been looking for Reid's comments regarding the nominee, if he has made any. So far I haven't read or heard any.
To: floriduh voter
Laura Ingraham is not very positive about this nomination either.

"Except for the war and abortion....what's the diff?"
One difference b/w GWB and the Dems is that the Dems haven't proposed let alone been able to pass a new entitlement since LBJ. GWB alone claims that badge of distinction.

Tammy isn't a conservative, though she has some views considered conservative given how far her party has drifted, but she is someone I respect.
And I share the same concern as her.

A career is just how my life worked out to be. But I'm certainly doing my best to help raise my 2 nieces and 2 nephews right (please pardon the unintentional pun).
I think that's great you are helping to raise your nieces and nephews...there is a lot to be said for an intact extended family working together and helping one another. It is great for the kids to have lots of loving family members around them.
Not knowing much about Miers, I'm withholding judgment for the time being.
Liked your pun!

Reference your # 1293. I appreciate your calm. I'm going to adopt it as my own, for the time being.
Like Rehnquist and a few other highly esteemed Supreme Court judges, Mier has never been a judge. James Warren, Chicago Tribune twit, says on FOXNews, her life story will be compelling.

"Chuck Shumer "neutral" on Ms Meirs at press conference broadcast on Fox News." If Harry Reid supports her, and Chuckie is "neutral" - why do we really need to know more? It is my sincere belief that the President has thrown the judicial committee a knuckleball.... They are standing at the plate wondering what just happened.....

I'm more than a little uncomfortable with the fact that she was White House counsel. Can she keep the two branches separate, or is there going to be a conflict of interest here?
Also, why not nominate someone with a judicial record? That too makes me nervous.
