The explosion happened at the courtyard near the George Lynn Cross Hall, Botany-Microbiology Building on OU's campus, which is west of the stadium, according to Sgt. Gary Robinson of the University police department. The explosion happened during the second quarter of Oklahoma's game against Kansas State. After the explosion, police set up a perimeter of several blocks and made fans exit the stadium to the east.
NORMAN -- An explosion near the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord Family-Memorial Stadium killed one person Saturday, OU officials said.
Anthrax?
Ditto on that! The one person who spoke out about it was "releived" of her duties as a news person.
indeed, let's look at the positives here too. if this was some kind of planned terror attack - it failed.
Sorry about misspelling Ruf-Neks'. ;) A KWTV photogs was in one of the upper deck sections on the west side when it happened. He said everyone in that area knew it wasn't the Ruf-Neks...way too loud and "bass-y"... and a couple of people even commented at the time that the sound had a "Murrah Building" quality. He said almost immediately he noticed the dozens of troopers and police ringing the field began leaving the stadium. He went down and noticed people who were trying to exit at halftime were being told to return to their seats because there was a search underway in the area. Then an announcement was made for all the bus drivers who'd parked in the affected areas to report to a certain gate area of the stadium, so that's when he knew something was up.
Point me to where I stated what someone could and could not read.
Do not misstate my position which, to clarify for you, is that I have no interest in conspiracies, rumors, or innuendo and will accept for MYSELF only confirmed reports rather than believing everything that is intially whispered in hushed tones.
Do as you see fit. I'll do as I see fit.
I am surprised people did not get cell phone calls informing them of what happened outside the game.
If it hadn't been for alternative media, MSM would have never gone with the John Muhammed name for the DC sniper - at first they tried to pass him off using his pre-Islamic name - but then the truth came out.
Yes, but they got away with it with the shoe bomber didn't they. Richard Reed, right??. Actually his muslum name is Abdel Rahim, how come we never here that one anymore???
Thanks. :-)
And afterwards, they pick up whatever pieces are laying around, make quilts.
You cannot trust AP wire except to wipe your ass with it. Then it is only slightly better than Magnolia leaves.
Which news?
I know, I'm just saying that a "typical" suicidal American male would not attempt a "normal" suicide through a means as cumbersome and uncertain as a pipebomb. The fact that this person was killed by a pipebomb under these circumstances leads me to conclude that his intent was to inflict harm on others as well as himself. A suicide bomber, or a suicide bomber wannabe.
Then what IS your point?
I was listening to the NBC affilliate....
There would be a possible search entering the stadium.....a person with evil intent would wait for the end of the game, with the huge crowds that leave all at once.
I used to do stadium security.
Is that true? I've lived in OK for 18 years and that is the first I've heard of this.
"Yeah, that's exactly what I told my wife after hearing that on the local channel 4 news in OKC. We will have to wait a couple or more days before we ever get the full truth--as usual!"
Here's hoping your evidence doesn't disappear, the story and landscape change, and key witnesses die in the meantime.
silly me...
Ok, thanks...
