The explosion happened at the courtyard near the George Lynn Cross Hall, Botany-Microbiology Building on OU's campus, which is west of the stadium, according to Sgt. Gary Robinson of the University police department. The explosion happened during the second quarter of Oklahoma's game against Kansas State. After the explosion, police set up a perimeter of several blocks and made fans exit the stadium to the east.
NORMAN -- An explosion near the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord Family-Memorial Stadium killed one person Saturday, OU officials said.
Thanks for the corrections, I appreciate your input.
I think jeremiah was talking about this current case in Oklahoma and the 'report' of the Parkview Apartments being run by Muslims. Correct me if I am wrong.
"I think he shaved off his beard in order to blend in, as per the terror handbook or his handlers."
I wonder if the 'bearded' picture was taken while he was 'away'(in a madrasa)from school due to 'depression' (religious conversion to Islam)? It would be interesting to know what he looked like the day he blew up and which picture came first..the clean shaved look or the bearded look. Oh well..pieces of a puzzle that we will probably never hear about. (rolling eyes)
I think the 2002 pic is his Senior High school pic.
Even though I've read all the posts since I left here early this morning, I haven't clicked all the links. How did it come out that the bearded photo is from 2002?
I was just getting to ready to SNIP the same clip as you posted : )
If he was taking such great care to "select an open area where there was no one around" then why even go on campus at all? Why not just walk or drive out of town to the first vacant field and blow yourself up there?
Unfreaking real how we are supposed to believe the heaps of BS that MSM is tossing at us.
I'm glad to hear that it sounds like the "milita-type" story will not fly in this case - I don't think it would be an accurate depiction. I was initially afraid it would considering this guy is from CO Springs. Incidently, I saw one post over at DU last night suggesting it as well although no-one had responded to that post(just curious if they were speculating over there and I was surprised their whole thread has only generated about 100 posts). In my experience the "militia angle" is a favorite subject for the anti-gun types which try to use anything and everything to forward their views. Thankfully, the public's views on firearms seems to have changed a little since 9/11 and especially in light of the recent happenings in New Orleans and such.
(I'll be back online a little later in the day...)
Bizarre response by the MSM is all I can say
This proves that now, we are the only remaining "independent" media.
Reporting now about what I did a little earlier. Tin foilers, pay attention.
Hoping to find the possible roommate's name, I had already done a reverse search on the address and couldn't even get Hinrichs to come up.
If it's like it used to be on campus, the Parkview Apartments are essentially University property, so the main phone directories may or may not have the individual street addresses listed.
In point of fact, the regular reverse search directories for residential (it skips any commercial addresses) show only 2 people living on Sooner Drive in Norman, OK, both in a different hundred block from Hinrichs's addy. LOL, all right, that answers that.
I also did George Ave. and Stinson, just to be sure. All the people who live in the apartments at 1415 George Ave do show up, listed individually. I'm not sure those Ashley Apartments are University-owned, but they were evac'ed just like the Parkview Apts. residents Sunday.
The next thing I did was try to find the Pakistani Students Association on campus. That's where things got weird.
I found a list, which appeared to be undated, of the majority of the Pakistanis living in Norman, compiled by the PakiStudentAssoc. It was very small, so not comprehensive.
Again, thinking it was undated, I ran each and every name through the current OU People directory where Hinrichs is listed. Most of them were no longer students there (that's where the "undated/dated" thing comes in), but nearly all the ones who were lived at one of two addresses, one on S. Webster and the other on Wadsack--none on our target streets of Sooner Dr., George Ave. or Stinson.
Then, I went back to the PSA main page and lo and behold, it was "last updated" in 1998! LOL.
I don't know what the magic number of 1998 was, other than that was the year the PSA won "best association on campus and best website" awards, because I found some further info up to 2001, which then dovetails into the Boren/Pakistani/Parkview info posted above.
Going to continue this into a separate post.
>>>>I think jeremiah was talking about this current case in Oklahoma and the 'report' of the Parkview Apartments being run by Muslims. Correct me if I am wrong.
I don't know. I wasn't on this thread. I was pinged here:

I responded to the question I was asked.
Thanks for the link.
Continuing my Paki report ... I then put "Pakistani Students Association" and "Oklahoma" into a google search. Nearly every hit was about this one incident, which was the one that preceded the above-posted Haider "event."
The incident happened 3 days after 9-11, in 2001, and consisted of three Pakistani students getting expelled (Haider, who is actually Haijer, but he Americanized it to Haider, included). They had been picked up for "immigration irregularities," but it turned out to be because they were associated with Moussaoui.
They all lived together in the Kraettli Apartments (University-owned) on Wadsack. (That always pains me because the K family were long-time family friends of my family's.) Haijer was president of the Pakistani Students Association at the time.
OK, fast forward a little bit.
I tried to read as much as I could about all that, but my eyes were glazing over... until I sat up and took notice of a google hit that went to "OU Triangle Fraternity" meeting minutes, lol.
Seems the Triangle Fraternity frat house had been asked by the dean of students to provide a "safe house" for Pakistani students until the 9-11 "stuff" blew over.
Unfortunately, as most of you have found out, the Triangle Fraternity website is now taken down, except for the front page statement about Hinrichs. I couldn't follow whatever happened next and was too tired to try the Wayback Machine.
Since Hinrichs didn't come to campus until 2002, I didn't think I would find much, but maybe someone wants to try the follow-up.
Good points, but remember: If you shine too much light on roaches they will scatter and hide. It's more effective to dim the lights and set out some Roach Motels.
Outstanding work!!
This really jumps out:
"Seems the Triangle Fraternity frat house had been asked by the dean of students to provide a "safe house" for Pakistani students until the 9-11 "stuff" blew over"
Of course the kid probably was not in college then..but no matter, the link is what is important. Might want to check out the Muslim Student Association.
Yeah--and remember the FReeper who called up the Frat prez the other night (allegedly) and asked him if Hinrichs was Muslim or associated with any -- and the prez said something like "no way"?
Here is the Muslim Student Association on campus:

I'll snoop around a bit.
