The explosion happened at the courtyard near the George Lynn Cross Hall, Botany-Microbiology Building on OU's campus, which is west of the stadium, according to Sgt. Gary Robinson of the University police department. The explosion happened during the second quarter of Oklahoma's game against Kansas State. After the explosion, police set up a perimeter of several blocks and made fans exit the stadium to the east.
NORMAN -- An explosion near the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord Family-Memorial Stadium killed one person Saturday, OU officials said.
Drudge finally woke up and post a link to this story only 20 hours after the fact.
And they are calling it a 'tragedy'? Are they feeling sorry for the suicide bomber? WTF?
Here is Drudge's topic:
"Apparent suicide bomb kills one outside Oklahoma stadium..."
which links to:
"Tragedy in Norman"

It is being reported here that there was a second device -- heard it about an hour ago. Also confirmed that some of Parkview Apartments were evacuated and searched.
Who reported it? I'm curious.
My son is trying to get in touch with the guy and the girlfriend of another fraternity brother to see if they will talk to the media. I have the numbers to give them if they will talk.
What I have is information from what they told a group of us in the fraternity house when we were going to pick up our car parked there. That information we have is second hand from hearing them talk which freaked us out.
Maybe they're calling it a tragedy based on the reports of 5 people injured, which no one is talking about now.
"It is being reported here that there was a second device -- heard it about an hour ago."
Sounds like Fox News is not rehearsing last night's facts, rather fresh ones.
And there is another story out now here in Norman that disputes the comments of this morning. Throw a dart and take your pick!
Do they really think they can keep this news quite?
Hibachi charcoal grill not properly extinguished but tucked under the back end of the pick-up truck just as the tailgate party/cookout is ending. You get the same results.
no , I havent . I'm also not going to read too much into this incident untill some facts are sorted out and comflicting reports settled .A lot of speculation and not enough clear facts for me so far .
Just out of curiosity , why would one think the MSM would cover up a terrorist bombing attempt?I'm sure they would spin it , blame Bush for not protecting us here at home blah blah..I'd figure the Marsist MSM would love for this to be a failed terrorist attempt. My gut feeling is that it's a lone nut job who wanted to make a statement, disgruntled chem student , something like that .. There are PLENTY of home grown sickos out there for sure.Just read where some kid filmed his own suicide to freak people out afterwards.
Who needs two bombs to commit suicide?
Dumb posting ...Im just waiting for facts..See where this story is by wed.Maybe you'll calm down
I wonder what would happen if one of us called the Norman,Oklahoma police and asked them the status of the investigation? I don't understand why all of the press accounts seem to be from the OU president and the OU police!! This is beyond strange at this point.
I'd like to be on any ping list you set up for this... thanks for being our eyes and ears.
so far, PhiKapMom is doing more investigative work on this story then the media.
Exactly....
susie
Talked to a reporter today and they have the feeling they are not getting ALL the facts.
Pretty soon it really didn't happen and all of us are somehow dreaming! We just imagined that the Feds took over the investigation and evacuated part of a campus apartment complex and searched it. We are just imagining the whole incident -- it never happened. It was a tiny pipe bomb that caused the stadium to shake which just happens to be concrete.
We had the same deal here about Berg and Moussouri (sp) so I am used to it -- I reported what we heard last night but this thread all of a sudden turned into nothing happened, move on -- lone nutcase.
