I heard some pundits discussing this the other day...and the dem one was disappointed that this happened this year, instead of next...
I also noticed on the Fox ticker thingy on the bottom of the screen last night...that Delay's hearing in Texas has been scheduled for Oct. of THIS year...he isn't wasting time getting this to court...
I am thinking that if he can get Earle to drop this, or get it through the courts by the end of this year...it won't have an effect like the dems think it will...
Miss Marple, I lived in Joe Barton's cong. district, I don't think the dems will waste their money on me....LOL

I got a "We the People" call too. First the woman mentioned our congressman Don Sherwood-then when she started to rip into Tom DeLay with her nasty voice dripping with venom, I hung up. We live in NorthEast PA.

"Those same commentators are saying that Delay is done with...that he will be a backbencher from now on...some congressmen also said that"
Could you tell us who these congressmen are?

The only phone call I ever got was from
President Bush!
Last year. He rang me up and said he'd
appreciate my vote. (I'd already voted
for him and all Republicans across the
board. But I appreciated his call on
my own phone! lol)
[okay, okay, it was an automated
message, but still....)

You want some cheese to go with that whine?
We are not squishy liberals here. We are conservatives who fight back! Go sit in the corner with your blankie if you are not man or woman enought to join the fight.

Pinging some other media-connected people to this thread.
This is extremely important and must be brought out right away.
Good job, Miss Marple.

I think Howard Dean put the screws to Ronnie Earl and that is why Earl brought the charges.
To: Arizona Carolyn
I think it is because of the movie. Ronnie thinks he's going to be a "Star"

I got one in Washington linking the new Congressman Richart to the Delay scandal. It appears they are trying to use the Delay indictment against republicans running for reelection.
Talk about a conspiracy. Earle, DNC, MSM, Soros, MO,O and the usual suspects.

I received a call in the 11th District of North Carolina, the day after Rep. Tom DeLay was indicted. The automated call noted that DeLay had been and should be removed from office. I did not catch the "feel good" name of the organization which was supposedly the sponsor of the call.
Then it turned to an attack on the 7-term incumbent Republican incumbent in the District, Charles Taylor. It sought to connect Taylor to DeLay because Taylor had received "$6,000 of tainted money from DeLay." It gave Taylor's office phone number, and urged listeners to "call his office and demand that the DeLay money be given back." I don't recall whether it asked that Taylor resign, as it did for DeLay.
I later found out from news sources in Western Carolina that these calls were made by MoveOn.org, and that they may have gone to all working phone numbers in the 11th District. If so, this effort in this one District may have involved upwards of $100,000 in expense.
Hope this information is useful.

What the Dems are doing here should be some kind of crime. They have already proclaimed Delay guilty, and by implication, are assigning guilt to all these other Republicans...when there hasn't even been a trial, yet. These calls should be used as evidence that the Dems have coordinated with this DA in an attempt to attack Delay. This just stinks to high-Heaven.

Thank you, Congressman Billybob. I wonder if "We the People" is in cahoots with MoveOn; that would connect Jerry Brown to George Soros...and Brown is supposed to be for the "little guy", isn't he?
