Rat Tracks: Post if you have received a call about DeLay
Various personal reports by Freepers | October 1, 2005 | Miss Marple

Posted on 10/01/2005 8:03:34 AM PDT by Miss Marple

This morning, buried in different threads, I have seen two reports on Freepers receiving automated phone calls asking for calls to Congressmen about Tom DeLay.

I think we need to know how widespread these phone calls are, and which congressmen are being targeted.

The two reports I read were in New York and Texas.

If anyone has received such a call, please post it here along with the organization and the congressman targeted. I believe the Rats are trying to create the impression of a groundswell against DeLay, and I am interested in stopping this.

Beware of these scandals. The Dems could turn us into a minority come next election cycle

What an apt screen name you have, now get back to your real job of giving Monica's to chris shays.

What I am interested in is seeing if there is a pattern to the calls. Are they targeting RINOS? Vulnerable Republicans? Do they think they can actually pressure DeLay to resign from Congress?

This is costing a fair amount of money. Why are they doing this?

And MOST interesting, is this a coordinated effort between Earle and the democrats?

the real scandal here is the malicious "prosecution" being waged against DeLay

Could not agree MORE!

I'm in Connecticut. I got an automated call about Delay...urging me to call Christopher Shays. Yeah right...like he needs any encouragement to throw a Republican under the bus. Anyway, didn't catch the name of the organization and I hung up before it finished.

I know but black propaganda worked in the Third Reich. Repeating a lie many times will seem truth to many gullible folks. I'm just worried that we might lose the majority especially in the Senate. Remember 1994?

Connecticut has been added to the list. Thanks!

Chris Shays is the most RINO member of Congress. Is he vulnerable in the next election?

Oh, baloney. A recent poll (not the Freeper poll either) indicated most people think this is a political attack. Even some of the normally left-wing "commentators" are saying there is no case here.

No doubt they are targeting RINO's, one of chris shay's staff is already here on this thread.

See Moderate rightwingers reply #15.

Those same commentators are saying that Felay is done with...that he will be a backbencher from now on...some congressmen also said that

Are those the same ones that said Rove would be pounding the sidewalks looking for a new job by 2004? (Of course, they keep sliding the date up when their "prediction" doesn't quite make it...)

I think they just want to make sure "everyone" hears about how corrupt Delay is a la Pelosi's remarks about how corrupt the GOP is.

They want to create this atmosphere BEFORE the institutionalized dim corruption in LA hits the fan.

Hopefully the American people will understand that you can accuse someone of anything - convicting is something else. And at that, it took Earle 6 grand juries to get an indictment.

Diane Farrell, the lib first selectperson (AKA mayor) of my town, will run against him again. She gave him a pretty good run for his money last time. Shays 52%, Farrell 48%

And who would that "some Congressman" be? The democrats have been out in force trying to make this indictment a scandal of the century. Hogwash.

IMO .. this isn't so much about getting DeLay to resign from Congress as it is about winning back the Majority

They need control back to push thier agenda

The Hildabeast is obviously targeting Congressman Walsh from New York. He might want to invest in a bodyguard.

The hatred the Clintons have for Tom DeLay is incalculable. They hold him personally responsible for the House impeachment of BC. They know the Hammer held the reigns of power and did NOT knuckle under during the impeachment trial of WJC. The Clintons will never stop trying to destroy Tom DeLay and everyone needs to realize that as a FACT.

You know, you have only been here since August, so maybe you don't know that Paying attention to the media is what we are all about! As well as countering their lies, revealing their bias and corruption, and putting out our own truthful information.

This is costing a fair amount of money. Why are they doing this?

Plus this is being done 13 months before the election.

JMO, but Delay decided to waive the statute of limitations on the Grand Jury, to bring this out all in the open, before Hollywood ronnie earl could close this grand jury and impanel another one where the charges come out, surprise, October 2006.

ronnie earl's in a pickle. Now he has to actually produce the charges and go to trial. earl(and the DNC) is going to be beat again.

My opinion earl has nothing and will bloviate to get the trial delayed(ala Kay Bailey Hutchison).

But the dumbasses in the liberal pimple of Texas(Austin) keep electing him again and again.

Yes, manufactured as it is, it is still perceived as a scandal...and it gave people the perception that this supposedly majority is in disarray.Delay was like Foley and Daschle..Blunt is the Reid...more a deputy than a leader
