This morning, buried in different threads, I have seen two reports on Freepers receiving automated phone calls asking for calls to Congressmen about Tom DeLay.
I think we need to know how widespread these phone calls are, and which congressmen are being targeted.
The two reports I read were in New York and Texas.
If anyone has received such a call, please post it here along with the organization and the congressman targeted. I believe the Rats are trying to create the impression of a groundswell against DeLay, and I am interested in stopping this.

I heard a couple of callers on Rush's show yesterday saying they received calls concerning Delay - I forget which states they were calling from.
I live in Travis County--and so far, nothing here.

They started the morning after Delay was indicted

**Ack!! I just got a call from..(didn't catch the organizations name) a dem organization, probably, telling me that my Congressman Walsh is voting against the dems re: Tom Delay. Ha..they want me to call Walsh and demand that Delay resigns...This was a recorded message...Even so, after it was done I begged to have someone get on the line. I gave a rather good rant...to no one. LOL
I thank them for calling. I will give Walsh a call....but not for their reasons.**
I got one this morning. Pittsburgh, Pa.It started about Melissa Hart, ethetics and Delay. That is when I hung up.
Yes, they did. Is it legal for a prosecutor to notify a poitical part about an upcoming indictment? How did the democrats get so organized so quickly? This appears to be a national calling program, not an isolated incident.

Unless one can subpoena Ronnie Earles phone and email records .... Maybe it's possible through FOIA .. maybe one of out Freeper Lawyers would know how to answer that better

Beware of these scandals. The Dems could turn us into a minority come next election cycle
I received calls a couple of weeks ago, before the "indictment" (quotes on purpose), but none since--so far. Those calls were automated and asking for contributions to fight the "corrupt" DeLay and "radical" rightwing Supreme Court nominees and if memory serves, a more general "rightwing agenda." I live in Oklahoma, and will let you know if I receive any more.
Also pinging PhiKapMom, to see if she received the calls I did and might have a better memory of what they said.
If you to pay for an automated, pro-Delay call, I can give you a number to call and you can have it running two hours from now. It's not hard.
Got one here in Albuquerque, NM yesterday. They wanted me to call Heather Wilson's office and demand that she return the $ yada, yada.
Was expecting the call thanks to Rush so didn't pay that much attn. Sponsoring group had the words "people' and "America" in it IIRC.
With all due respect, the real scandal here is the malicious "prosecution" being waged against DeLay.
What also smells is the way the MSM jumped on the bandwagon from day one of this "scandal". Funny, isn't it how the Dems and the big networks work in tandem?
