My "Swirl Theory"
We hear of string theory, the Big Bang and many other ideas.
I have come up with this idea over the past several days. Katrina and Rita has turned my attention towards this as I have discovered a new theory as of late that black holes may be present at the center of each galaxy.
Using the theory that a black hole could have possibly been created in space by gases which collapsed into itself churning and sucking gasses and space debris around it into a swirling vortex. This swirling vortex of gas eventually condensed into planets and solar systems.
Here comes my theory.
I began looking at our galaxy as a hurricane in the ocean. (No I'm not stoned!) O.K. maybe :o)_~~```
If you see a picture of both you will see the physical resemblance. It doesn't stop there just keep reading.
If we look at the black hole as the eye of the storm we can then picture it forming as a hurricane.
Maybe a black hole is a great mass condensed into a microscopic particle which warps the fabric of space because of it's weight. That's what some scientists say.
Although, it could be like the eye of a hurricane with it's pressure pushing down on the water directly below it with great force. This pressure from the eye ("black hole") is pushing on the fabric of space to warp it in such a manner it will create the cone that swallows everything.
Perhaps this storm (black hole) was caused by gases like a tropical depression creates a hurricane.
The hurricane then swirls and gathers up all surrounding clouds water and vapor to feed itself for growth. Perhaps the black hole gathers surrounding space debris and gases to form our swirling galaxy. As gases and debris swirl they condense to make solar systems and planets.
Hurricanes often spawn tornados. If we look at solar systems as tornados spawn off from the hurricane (galaxy) then it starts to come together (maybe).
These galaxy swirls have spawned smaller swirls creating solar systems that spawned smaller swirls that created planets. Now if we can imagine the planets creating even smaller swirls we can eventually come to our littlest round friends the Atoms. Atoms that are round in shape like our planets.
Earth uses hurricanes to draw energy from the equator. Perhaps this is what galaxies do. Don't know.
Hurricane wind speed and rotation is slower at the outer edge just like stars at the edge of the galaxy. They spin faster as they reach the center (eye).
Perhaps our galaxy is slowly spinning towards the center which may contain a black hole. Not trying to say dooms day but it makes sense like the winds and gases of a hurricane spin towards the eye.
Taking a center point or "eye" of the storm approach to our galaxy is not far fetched. Our planet alone creates these same swirls several times a year and are the largest and most destructive forces we see, on a regular basis. Just looking at a galaxy you see the trademark swirl as if it were swirling towards the center.
One problem with this tornado theory is why is our solar system is not swirling towards it's center (the sun). Well, this I cannot explain among many other problems. We have never seen a hurricane reach full strength without interruption from land, wind or other outside forces. Perhaps the vacuum of space allows for debris to finally condense in the middle of the smaller storms (solar systems) and this is what causes condensed gases to become a hot ball of gas like our sun. Or perhaps these smaller swirls do not have the power to warp space enough to cause a black hole but enough to make a large star.
Now when I say tornado it really throws you off because A tornado does not have the same physical characteristics as a hurricane. I believe the large Hurricane like swirl of our galaxy causes smaller (but similar in physical properties) swirls which over time condense smaller more local gasses and debris to form planets around it's eye (i.e. the sun).
If smaller and smaller hurricane type swirls were created by larger swirls then we could (I THINK) mathematically come up with swirls small enough to condense and make atoms.
So, did strings create these atoms or did microscopic swirling gases or swirling "something"? I'm not the physicist.
My Two Cents.....if it's worth that :o)
P.S. No swirlie Jokes ;-)
Working on that, thought html in titles worked. Guess not.
Thanks admin 4 the title change!
The "eye" of a hurricane is noted for its extreme LOW pressure..
It's a Free Republic thing, not really your bad :-)
Interesting. Didn't know that. TY
Punch it up. Do some fancy math. Get some galaxy models on your PC. Submit articles to Science or other prominent journals. You will be famous.
I like the giant swizzle stick theory myself.

Math? Uh oh! Maybe I can catch the attention of some genius who will let me ride their coattail. LOL
Since you're on a roll with theories, here's mine (unrelated to astronomy) about the functional lightsabre:
All known matter is surrounded by a kind of cloud of electrons. Electrons are electrically neutral. This is why my fingers are able to push down on these keys as I type: Like charges repel each other.
What if, through some collossal blunder of physics, the atoms of my fingers were surrounded by a cloud of positively charged electrons (Called Positrons)? My fingers would then pass through the keyboard, causing a shearing effect that would seperate the matter at the atomic level, damaging the keyboard as well as my fingers.
If a controllable beam of positrons were to be emitted in a preset area and stream, it would pass through all known forms of matter. In fact, the only thing that would halt such a shearing effect would be another beam of positrons.
We are already able to make electrons pretty much do what we want (stunguns, Tesla Coils, etc.). How difficult would it be to do the same with positrons?
As a lifesaving tool, it would effortlessly cut through steel, concrete and anything else the user wished. As a weapon, it would bore holes through armor thicker than anything currently known. Anything made of atoms would be influenced by a positron beam.
That's the theory. Putting it in a package the size of a chrome flashlight, however.....
Then I have nothing to say.:)
I don't know if your familiar with string theory but at one time they had several string theories and then whittled it down to five. One scientist threw them all out saying they were mirror theories of the same thing.
Well, maybe they were "bands" of the storm that leads to the eye? See my Simile?
There was a site done by a Robert Brown in Australia listing the scientific details about lightsabres, turbolasers, and many other Star Wars technologies. He got so much hate mail that he took it down. Too bad, too. It was a great site.
My theory wasn't listed on it when it was up, though.
Theories are exactly that, Theories.
Whether they be conspiracy or not. Many people feel, If you don't have the proof I don't want to hear it.
Why not use a stream of protons, we have the technology for that.
Another great mind not ruined by higher education. LOL
It's mass not weight. The difference in not trivial
Although, it could be like the eye of a hurricane with it's pressure pushing down on the water directly below it with great force. This pressure from the eye ("black hole") is pushing on the fabric of space to warp it in such a manner it will create the cone that swallows everything.
Actually, a storm like a hurricane includes a serious drop in pressure, nothing is pushing especially hard down on anything.
Water levels rise in a hurricane because there is so little pressure at the center. Also, that is the reason for the winds; pressure is so low that (denser) air from the surrounding area rushes in to equalize the pressure.
One difference between galaxies and hurricanes is the cross section; the top and bottom of a cane are different; canes have a chimney effect with clockwise outflow, something that doesn't occur in a galaxy. I don't think.
