Dangerous Hurricane Rita is expected to make landfall in the northeast Gulf of Mexico within 24 hours. Tornados have spawned in Louisiana. Water is filling the Ninth Ward of New Orleans again. A bus carrying elderly evacuees was gutted by fire this morning outside Dallas, with multiple fatalities. Television crews have positioned their hurricane reporters throughout the region to attain maximum drama effects. Whoooooa.

Yeah, I hear you - some of my flowers get full sun; every morning I go to work and they're happy, every evening I come home and they're wilting.
Might not be a problem this weekend, however...
On the last radar sequence (covering about 40 minutes I think) I saw due north motion, with perhaps a hint of an eastward component in the eye. Perhaps. But north, yes.
I have it right here waiting for you!
I planned ahead when I wasn't shooting my neighbors and my kids!
dang....I was really getting jealous. Plano getting rain. No fair! lol
If it helps, Brit is usually not on on Fridays--but the show is usually still good. Shep can get just too tiresome!
I''m headed out to dinner - buying my hubby and his 94 year old aunt a big ol' Texas style prime rib dinner as a reward for surviving their 26 hour trek from Galveston to Dallas.
I'll be checking back in later this evening!
All y'all in Rita's, huncher down and hold on tight to your loved ones! May the Good Lord watch over all y'all this evening.
Better use your card quickly.....
I'm getting ready to loot the Louis Vitton store here in Atlanta and there won't be anything left....Pre-storm looting......
NeverGore :^)
Ahh yes... Good 'ol WFAA... thanks.
din't want to jump out there by myself and say so...we need other eyeballs checking this out....
Thanks for the ping Eaker!
I have a cousin and her family still in Houston. Her little boy is in the hospital and they cant get out anyway because of the traffic.
Hope they stay safe! But if help is needed, I'll be thinkin' of you. Thanks for yer kind offer!
Went up 20 cents today, and business was steady.
Rita may be stronger than Lilly was, but the worst of Lilly hit where you are. I'm glad to hear that you're in a safe place.
That didn't help any. I'm back to TWC.
I have family in Prairieville. Would you mind pinging me with updates...if you don't lose power?
I am not on call this week. I may get called up next week.
KHOU live feed has a survivor of the bus crash on live...
He sounds like Gen. Honore. Some newslady says you are on KPRC-TV and he asks "What channel is that? If I don't look good, I'm not gonna watch it."
LOL
Priorities :-)
KHOU TV has an interview with a survivor from the bus wreck. Presstitudes stuck on stupid - but Mr. Wilson is great
Does he know what caused the fire?
