9 P.M. EDT.
It's flood damage covered by NFIP/FEMA insurance. There is no such thing as "hurricane damage" in property insurance policies. They cover things like fire, windstorm and a variety of other things but specifically exclude flood. and because of that the insurer takes in no premium for flood exposures.
Most of the claims will be for flood but any dwelling that also has windstorm damage will likely collect money from the feds for flood and also for windstorm. Insurers in situations like this throw money at people. But only for what they insure.
'It is like he said, "You Democrats have had 70 years to live up to the ideals in the "New Deal" and YOU HAVE FAILED.'
Ah, but the problem is that he did NOT say it clearly. Time for W to kick some butt and stop being so pleasant.
Maybe after we get 2 Judges confirmed.
Another home run for Dubya!
I saw this, too and it was wonderful.
The reporter phrased every question to these people from the negative angle ("But did you believe him?") and they did believe him and that one woman in particular who cited local and state and federal money being sent and not put the intended use was a marvel to behold.
Ted Koppel was saddened when they threw back to him but I didn't stick around.
I did surf back at one minute to the top of the hour and he was speaking to yet another reporter where they consoled themselves that President Bush may rise above this hurricane disaster, but the threat of avian flu looms on the horizon. I only wish I was kidding.
The media has gone completely insane with their hatred of this man.
After I saw Brian Williams admitting on MSNBC that he and other reporters were chattering about the choice of location chosen by administration staff "for their president" was one of beauty and not a scene of devastation I clicked off news for the night.
How? The democrats just got a $200 billion social program. It's a bad night for fiscal conservatives and those that believe in a small federal government.
Jefferson was a "Republican", but not of the Republican Party of today.
Their hatred extends beyond just this speech. Those faux Conservative posters hate Bush with a passion.
Lincoln was the first Republican Program. However, Jefferson may have been a republican.
LOL
Anyone know when this speech will be repeated on tv? Maybe Hannity and Colmes repeat on Fox? Was it on there live?
Thank you for checking... :)
You are being as irrational as the Moonbats. You need to read his speech to see what he really said rather than what YOU FEEL he said.
Insufferably condescending and hopelessly wrong. I haven't seen that combination since Joe Biden tried to take on Roberts.
Anyone watching Nancy Grace. Some guy saying women were dragged into rooms and raped, LO NG were not seen BUT BARICADED - STAYED HID IN A CONFERENCE ROOM!
"I wish we wouldn't stereotype black people on this forum as all being on "welfare.""
I wish we didnt have to. The fact is that there was alot of Welfare recipients in NO, NO is 67% or so black.
Anybody have the stats??
Thinking like...a compassionate conservative I suppose? Lol...
"You ultracons have a hard time with that, so my expectations of your using your brains first are very low....."
"Ultracons"??
Well I guess we would be -- compared to pseudo-conservatives cloaked into the robe of socialist-lite RINOism.
Just curious -- Do you believe lemmings are "thinking" during their descent off the cliff?
I think it was carried almost everywhere live....
I am sure it will be replayed on CSpan as well....
ya know I don't think it was live, because Fox didn't have the LIVE thing up in the left hand corner.
That is how I read the speech.
And anther thing those private accounts will do....if it ever comes to pass...is it will ALLOW for a financial education to happed to people who have NEVER SEEN compounding interest.
As these folks watch their small percentage in a private account, over time, grow and expand and increase at a rate SS will NEVER SEE because it is a system always undergoing depletion....
A whole lot will begin to change.
Our President proposed using the federal government in the right way tonight...as a means, not an end! I loved it!
