Had Durbin's memo amounted to anything it would be all over the MSM, all Robert's did on that "memo", was a hand-written note in the margin, where he cricled something and wrote REPLY? That's all it was. It was NOTHING.

Schumer says:
You didn't answer questions that you felt would come before the court. ...We were interested in answers to questions on issues that would come before the court.
I don't get it.
Good for Spector - allowing Roberts to respond.
Feinstein now screws it up by asking "WHat kind of a judge you will be?"
Jeeze, this is silly. No incisiveness. Just gut objections to someone who is likely to be more conservative than they would like.
Now Roberts is telling them - 50 recent opinions should be enough. Absolutely.

"Schummer brings up "illegal amigos" again."You have to look on the bright side. At least Neil Kinnock never used the phrase "illegal amigos", or Biden would be using it now.

Exactly!
Schumer's whole speech was designed to paint Roberts as a phantom nominee, even after Roberts has responded to all their half-truths, innuendos, and phantom questions.
Roberts has 50 decisions their staffs can pick through. The Dems are FOS.

Agreed. I can handle the speechifying, pontificating and political grandstanding, but NOT their nasty, rude behavior.

Cornyn mentioning "leaked" Senate memos.
Points out that Senators assumed they should get to have candid, confidential communication with their staffers.
Executive branch should have the same right to candid, confidential communication.
Roberts talks about importance of confidentiality between advocates and their clients.
