UPDATE: Republicans have decided not to do a third round of questioning...selected Dems will have a third round starting this evening and going into the morning The Dems are trying to drag this out as long as they can
You just watch what they will do once this vote goes to the Senate Floor

No, it's Charter cable. Yesterday I was able to get bits and pieces of it, between FoxNews, cspan, and Court TV.

Court TV has been carrying most of the proceedings during the day.

I really liked the story told that Biden was lamenting whenever Roberts spoke that he was using Biden's time, then when Roberts didn't speak, Biden railed on him for not answering the question. Whereupon Roberts said something to the effect that he'd understood from Biden that Biden did not want to hear his answer. Further illustrating what someone else said last evening:
Joe Biden is the Senate's version of Ted Baxter.

Yeah I caught some of it...It seemed like whenever it started to get good though, Court TV would go to commercial, lol.

Thanks...I did catch some of it on there yesterday and will do so again today, if I can't find it anywhere else without the commercials.

It isn't very encouraging to realize that in order to believe Roberts won't betray conservatives, once confirmed, one has to believe that he is being disingenuous now, but once on the bench will rediscover his integrity. Precisely.

If there is a bigger jerk than Charles Schumer in the United States Senate, I have yet so see him/her. I mean Biden is arrogant and Smarmy, but I know more about the law then he apparently does. Ick! I taped the over night and am watching the third round for Schumer. I had missed Durbin, what a cow, it was great Senator, when I was old enough I worked in the Steel mills in Gary in the summer, take that you jerk.

Nothing in Judge Robert's background would suggest he is a liberal. We want guys to interpret the Constitution the way it is. Activism on the right side of the bench is no better then on the left. Would you rather Roberts bare his soul and then not get on? He can not do that. He will decide the case on the rule of law, not emotion and not ideology, that is fair. Nothing else is.

:-) I hope that's true. I think it's posturing to save face when Roberts gets the nomination and to justify reaming the next candidate if he or she doesn't appear to meet the DNC litmus tests.

We know who is a bigger jerk in the Senate and she was droning on about how unjustified gas prices were in the wake of Katrina.
It is a good thing that the influence of the junior Senator of NY does not extend to the economy as she does not comprehend how supply and demand work.

He wanted to know what kinds of movies Roberts liked Movies? I predicted, back in July that Schumer would ask Roberts what his favorite color was. I guess I was close.

It's always good to reevaluate what you've been doing to figure out what actually works and what doesn't.
I do think that rising above the fray is a better approach and I think that Roberts is doing an excellent job, particularly in view of the hostile conditions.
