The Dem playbook
The Hill newspaper gives us a peek at the Democratic playbook for the Roberts hearings. Below are the attack assignments for the Democratic members of the Committee:
Kennedy -- civil rights
Leahy -- Bybee torture memo
Biden -- privacy, personal autonomyand the 9th Amendment
Kohl -- Property rights and civil liberties
Feinstein -- "judicial activism" and Roe vs. Wade
Feingold -- limits of executive powers
Schumer and Durbin have wisely refused to show their hand.

There's nothing good about it.
Biden just wants to be on the MSM "highlight reels" of today's hearings. He is campaigning to be the darling of the Left. His phony smiles make me want to throw up.
I will give Arlen credit for understanding the difference between disagreeing and being disagreeable. It's one of my chief complaints with these Dems...they are unable to make their points without bullying, interrupting and disrespecting the nominee.
I know. I'm cube bound today, and really need this thread to know what's going on. It's probably just as well, though; from what I'm reading I probably would have pitched my TV (along with Plugs and the Swimmer) out the window by now.
My blood is flowing...lol. I doubt that I can endure Schumer, but I'm going to TRY.
He's been watching "The Devil's Advocate"... it's the smile of the devil played by Al Pacino. ;)
I despise this man.
But then I despise all of them.
Biden tried to trip him up in hopes something will be said to turn the tide of public opinion. Brit said thus far he's heard nothing and wonders how it's playing to the neutral audience. Based on Specter calling Kennedy/Biden to order, it may play well for Roberts.
Kennedy: "I WAS SORT OF INHAILING"
Biden: "But he's filibustering!"
It could be worse... he could have starred in Taxi Driver.
Yes, he has been elected to public office, yet not beaten! Talk about bizzaro world goin on here!
Delaware must be SO proud.
Oh, I wondered about that last night...........thanks for pointing that out.
This is a brillant man!
I see that! When did you move to Virginia?
Yes, I agree with you, as do a lot of us who heard his comment. It was a stupid thing for him to say. But then, there are a lot of stupid things being said today.
It's after noon. Time for the 4th shot of the day.
That's a first for him. He usually plagerizes.Would that be his "rod and staff?"
Biden said he knew as much as Fmr. Senator Fred Thompson and the camera cut to him making a 'so-so' gesture with his hands...lmao!
That's more like it.
