Just heard on FOX that Blanco refused to allow supplies to be brought to the stadium, "Because they wanted all those people to leave, and they didn't want to create a magnet to bring others there, by bringing in food and water!"""

One thing that doesn't make sense to me: wouldn't a "magnet" be *good* because they wanted to get the people out of their houses and out of the city, and the locations where the Red Cross would set up would be likely staging areas to then evacuate people? I can appreciate that there might be crowd control issues. And maybe Blanco lacked sufficient NG force to quell disorder. But to blame relief shortage on somebody else is despicable.

I have been on record here, with many flames, from the beginning saying Nagin was screwed by the Gov. Nagin is a reformer, was exposing corruption and the old Morial regime in NO, is honest and voted for Bush and Jindal.
He strayed off the plantation and I will bet a thousand bucks Blanco tied his hands in some way.

Democrats should be wetting their pants just about now.

You might be right, Nagin could be a big help before this is over, but he had better watch his back.

in the near future...Thus Demo0Bitch could be triggering a plague.

Hillary will not be elected because Blanco, she is a woman and can't be trusted in a crisis.I'm betting that a majority of the country will have absolutely no recollection of who Blanco even is when that time comes. The MSM will see to that by continuing to hammer "Bush's fault" into everyone's heads.
Sadly, I also don't see the republicans using the overwhelming incompetence of Blanco and Nagin as an example of what happens when liberals are in charge. Even if they do, any such attempts will be weak (you know it will) and swiftly denounced by the MSM/dems as a republicans effort to exploit the deaths of thousands for cheap political points during an election campaign, forcing the republicans to cease their "attacks" and switch to damage control mode. Call me a pessimist here but I don't see this ending well at all.
