How about the situation with the pumps, Landrieu? Was Bush resposible for
that, too?
Where the heck have you been while this disaster was waiting to happen?

I swear, I am in the minority here but Nagin is a good guy. Was a business man before running. He was royallly screwed by the dem party here.
Give Nagin a chance, he is a smart guy and was exposing long time corruption in NO before this came on. He was crossing the NO machine big time.
Nagin is okay in my book. No flaming now, yall hear me?

The senator, governor and mayor have been taking lessons from lawyers.
If the facts are on your side, argue the facts- If you lack facts just pound the desk, cuss, scream, cry and above all Just Blame Bush!

Will he do the show tomorrow or play golf, this being the Labor Day Weekend?

...one more word about it...WTF is she talking about? As far as I know, the president hasn't uttered a single critical word about what passes as N.O. law enforcement. But he should.

Really bizarre. I mean, not only has Bush not criticized the local police, it's not something he would even think of doing. She must be saying this as to continue the blame game. Criticize Bush for what he hadn't done, but if he did . . .
Sounds like deflection to me. Anybody who knows what's gone on in NOLA realizes that the local government dropped the ball. It was amateur hour.

saying that if he or any other government official criticizes New Orleans police for failing to keep civil order in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina - "I might likely have to punch him - literally." How about criticizing the NOPD for TAKING PART IN LOOTING?!?!?!
To: Jenya
Tell them its not the fed's responsibility to fund levees for people who choose to live below sea level. Level 5 levees would cost 250 million I understand. New Orleans could have afforded that (over say five years), and the people of NO are the only people who should have been approached to pay it. Instead of which the dems have been waiting with their hands out FOR DECADES until the water literally rises around their ears.

Perfect! Thanks. Gotta stay fully armed when dealing with libs.

Bush didn't even reduce funding, he reduced the amount of the increase in funding. It's the oldest trick in the book, call a lower increase in funding, a cut.
To: cajungirl
He was crossing the NO machine big time. That could be why the levy failed... (Firmly pulling tin-foil hat tighter)

If I had a chance to interview the dippy Senator I would ask her the following:
(1) Have you ever read the New Orleans disaster evacuation plan?
(2) Do you know what it said about evacuating individuals who did not own private vehicles?
(3) Do you know the ACLU said about this evacuation plan and its treatment of the poor?
(4) Did you contact the Louisiana state government or FEMA or the Department of Homeland Security and ask them to work with the city to improve the plan?
(5) So, Senator, would you like to take this opportunity to apologize to your constituents for _your_ dereliction of duty?
