There's nothing to disagree with in your excellent post, PD.

However, when people like us at FR, who KNOW what the MSM are collectively, can be outraged, that is just in the realm of the outre. I think that's all we're seeing.

But thanks for the slap... I needed that!

I noticed that Broussard had time to trash Bush and "thank Gov. Blanco for her hard work" before he broke down. Political ass-covering to the end.

Absolutely!! Chernoff was quite calm this morning and presented FACTS. I believe his calm is because that he KNOWS what is going on.

The panic in the Rat voices and the hysteria is because they KNOW their graft is going to be uncovered in a massive way.

Where has all that money sent to Louisiana and especially, New Orleans, gone?

Why was their police force so ill-equipped? We hve evidence that they only had ONE working boat and the officers were carrying their PERSONAL weapons, because the police department couldn't afford to buy them.

How much public health money has been sent to LA? Why are there now so many people in the Astrodome with life-threatening conditions who have NEVER SEEN A DOCTOR?

What happened to all the federal money they DID receive for levee repair? Who funded that big casino?

How much did James Witt and Wesley Clark get for their non-functioning disaster plan? Were they the authors of that famous phrase in the NO evacuation plan: ask your friends and neighbors for a ride?

We need to keep asking the hard questions of the democrats! Don't let up! They are acting like what they are...cornered Rats.

They are the only ones to break the mold of that perception about themselves by proving the perception to be wrong.

Google Mary Landrieu's father, Moon Landrieu

OMG is that really his name? Who named him, Frank Zappa?

"I'd love to see Fox become a "No-Shep Zone"."

What is this dislike of Shep Smith. He has a glib style in his daily show and he is not to hard to watch (as opposed to the 2 guys on the weekend morning gig.

I have watched him during the disaster and he has performed, in my eyes, in an exemplary manner. Your thoughts?

Great post,
You exposed exactly what is and has been going on in La. for a long, long time right out in the open often with the DNC participation .

Great thread so far, gotta go buy some bird and cat food.

He's thinking maybe they need to go "somewhere like Las Vegas that has lots of hotel rooms." FEMA isn't sure they can pay for that, so he told them, "Screw it, I'll pay for it and find the money somewhere."

LOL. Tell 'em to go make the money at the blackjack tables....... after their mental evaluation, of course.

;-)

Conspicuous by their absence are the environmentalists cleaning off the Gulf wildlife damaged by the storm. Or do they only show up when it's a man-made disaster?

From Lynn Hyder, Alliance-endorsed chaplain serving with the New Orleans Police Department:

Friday, Sept. 2, 2005, 9:25 a.m. EDT

So many of you have graciously asked what you can do to help and where you can send money. I received word last night that the American Red Cross has been asked to leave the Greater New Orleans Area because of their ineffectiveness. Now, certainly the circumstances are dire in New Orleans, but the ARC has been asked by Aaron Broussard, Jefferson Parish President -- the equivalent to mayor -- to leave even JP. I lived in Jefferson Parish. Like many of you, I saw the convoy of ARC vehicles arrive in the city, but haven't seen them since.

We get MTP on a delay, so I am watching it now. Russert is ranting under the guise of a question, reading the NO paper's report from over a year ago. I think the proper question to ask Russert and similar second-guessers is this: "How many letters did you write to your congressman about this impending disaster? What did you personally do to save these people?"

I don't know how ANYONE can look at the tragedy from the biggest NATURAL disaster ever to hit our country and immediately make it a political blame-game.
They do not in any way at all actually care about people, our country, suffering, fixing problems, working as a nation to recover.
They only care about destroying President Bush. They couldn't take him out in an election, so they are 100% filled with false stories and hatred and a vengeance to destroy him.
I am so ashamed and appalled at our media, it is the most corrupt and criminal one on earth. They cover for Dems and their horrific errors...and THEY cause loss of life nationally, internationally because of that priority. Sick.

his is the problem Bush has had all along. He has no PROXIES because the people who are SUPPOSE to be helping get out his message spend most of their time sniping at him. THIS attack, however, forces Repbs to actually get up and DEFEND their polices.

You know, there is a parallel here. The rescuers working in NOLA didn't expect the affected residents to take pot shots (literally, shooting / "sniping") at them. And the federal relief assistance apparatus didn't expect the Lousiana relief assistance apparatus to snipe at it - but it is.

Wow. Good job, Johnnie. It makes my paltry little letter look ridiculous.

Not at all. The whole problem the Right has it is spend too much time sniping at itself and not enough time hammering its foes. ANYthing you send is helpful cause the Hysteric Left spends a LOT of time and effort hammering on these guys. Our side frequently gets drowned out by their noise. It is especially if you send a reporter a "HOw come no one is talking about this? or did you know THAT"? See even more then politicians, Journalists live by people faith in them. If they are not "Credible" no one will pay any attention to their stories. Pointing out things they may have missed by asking polite questions, usually will draw them into reading your emails. Feel free to use any of it. I have an advantage, I have been building on it all week. I send meself emails with ideas of parts of my posts here or clip good posts by others and send paste them as emails to myself to save information. I spend WAY too much of my personal time on here and on the net! The level of ignorace being demonstrated by our "News Media" on this issue is just scary

Sorry, but this is not all just negativism. It is a call to action to fight back. Republicans can't assume that the truth will win out. We need to be active, not passive in the face of an all out political push to blame Bush and the Republicans for all of this. Many will not believe the charge, but some will and in a closely divided electorate, we can't cede those swing voters.

Thank you! I know I have gotten very discouraged with all the blame-game of the MSM. But--as I posted yesterday--after being "given" to read from 1Corinthians 13--about the true nature of Love--I was reminded that it IS the only true antedote to the poisonous mixture of lies and deceipt that so much of the left delights in. And Love "is not rude, it is not self-seeking. It is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth." AND--LOVE NEVER FAILS!

God bless our President. And all those who love and defend him here on FreeRepublic.
