Russert has been a such a huge disappointment and transparent the past few weeks if not months.
Isn't the local gov't even supposed to keep the feds apprised of local conditions?
But seems to me I saw Chertoff on CNN last night, just before they announced Rehnquist's death, and he was still saying "no one knew it would be this bad," and for that I think he needs to go, because if he doesn't know it's been predicted for years as one of the top 3 potential disasters in the U.S., he's too clueless to be in that job.
Do you think he's sharing Nagin's stash?
Why did her son not contact the media I am certain someone in the media what have loved to have looked a hero
Who does Russert think he is?
Anyone got his email. I have a few questions I have prepared for his ilk to anwer. Their utter ignorance is appalling and their political bigotry.
If you watched Bush tour LA Friday you would have noticed that Mary was always in the background, never center stage with Bush...she feels slighted IMHO...while watching it, I didn't realize at first who that blonde was in the background for a few moments.
Darn!..If given the chance, I would've DONE IT FOR REAL...NOT , rhetorically speaking that is... :/
While I appreciate vintage sarcasm, let's get back together and discuss the 2006 election results and the momentum for 2008.
The administration was able to politically rally (thank God) for their own survival, but I'd like to see more recognition that more than this administration may be at stake.
BTW, I will be happy to eat crow.
You would not believe what's going on at the Chicken Noodle Network.
LOL. Thanks for the laugh this morning.
And I guess that Juan is right up to snuff on just how everything shoud be done. I am getting sicker by the minute.
I hope everyone had an opportunity to read the CNN transcript of the mayor's outrageous claim on CNN yesterday that now that he's criticized the federal government, maybe the CIA will try to off him.
HARRIS: And Fred, we want to play a portion of a new interview that is into CNN. This is an interview with the mayor of New Orleans, C. Ray Nagin, and he is responding to a couple of questions, but we're going to let you hear his response to a question about his efforts to get more assistance, more resources into the city of New Orleans. And take a listen.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
MAYOR RAY NAGIN, NEW ORLEANS: I keep trying to find resources. We're making calls, we're trying to find resources all across the country. I'm screaming at the -- excuse me -- I'm screaming at the governor and the president, you know? The CIA could come in here any minute and wipe me out. So -- but I'm going to keep doing it, and I'm going to stay here until people are out of here, and this city is safe.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HARRIS: Not quite sure what he means by the CIA could come in here at any minute and wipe me out, but obviously, this is a man under a great deal of stress right now. Just trying to find resources for his city and save as many people as he can. That's the mayor of New Orleans, Fred, C. Ray Nagin.
It is amazing I wonder also were they thinking legal implication if there were crashes without seat belts.
Thank you. Juan's been too laid back lately.
I have never been so angry at the crap on MTP this morning. Tim's attempted ambush of Chertof is like blaming the firefighters for the fire. The people of Louisiana should be on their knees thanking the feds for coming in and picking up the ball when their incompetent local officials and government dropped the ball big time.
